Thank you for a thorough review, Mike, Last Fri went to my Acura dealer and placed an order for 2021 RDX a/Spec blue ext/red interior (FWD) Acura do not have this colour combo on the lot. Just Fell in love with this SUV lines & stance since searching & compare notes with the competition 2 months ago, love Acura perks right now and MSRP discount, I'm going to love my RDX I'm sure.

Hey Mike, Great review ! I did not realize you had an accent until smb mentioned it. Maybe because I am Romanian too. I live in Erie (i guess you live in Canada) and I try to buy an Acura. What would you recommend RDX or MDX, New or Certified? Finally, it seems that Acuras are cheaper in Canada. Is that true?

Multumesc! haha. Yes I am Romanian but I didn't think that I'd still have an accent. Personally, I'd pick the RDX over the MDX. It looks a bit better, drives a bit better and has the same technology. Plus, if you're not going to utilize the 3rd row in the MDX, then the RDX is the clear choice. Also it seems that you're right, Acuras are cheaper in Canada. Just looking at a direct CAD to USD conversion, the Canadian spec cars are quite a bit cheaper than the US spec cars.

I have car fever and looking to trade in my 2017 Honda CR-V Touring. Looking to get away from Honda and really like the looks and reviews on the RDX A-Spec. Also looking at the Mazda CX 5 GT. I haven't tried them out yet but I know how reliable the Honda CR-V is as this is my second one. I'm wondering if you know how reliable this car is in terms of repairs? Cost of repairs compared to Honda cars. I had the 2013 CR-V 5 yrs and didn't do any major repairs, not even brakes. I take pride in caring for my car. But don't want to buy a lemon and end up with costly repairs frequently. Can you shed any light on how often you need to have brakes or other major issues? Really enjoy your videos and you give lots of great info. Thanks

Thanks for watching! I'm not sure how the RDX is when it comes to maintenance cost but the engine is the same one that is used in the Honda Accord 2.0T (albeit with different power ratings). So underneath it's still a Honda product and I imagine the maintenance cost and reliability should be similar to that of your CR-V. You could call up your local Acura dealership and ask them to give you a rough estimate as to how much an oil change or brake replacement, etc would cost on a new RDX and compare that with your CR-V.

Goof review. Hell, I prefer my MAZDA CX-5 GT Reserve to the BMW X-3! And that includes handling but especially reliability. As for the ACURA Super Handling AWD, it is much better than the BMW X-Drive AWD system or my MAZDA CX-5 AWD setup. In fact the ACURA SH-AWD torque vectoring is better than ANY other AWD system out there. Now it just needs to have a plug-in ALL ELECTRIC model.

Not sure if you really meant "goof" or just typo for "good" cause I said that the SH-AWD is a good system. I said that the RDX is better value for your money than the X3. But I do agree with you, Acura needs to bring some electrics to the market, at the very least a hybrid option for their popular models.

Yes they do regardless of trim.

@@sd1inspector345 Technically you're right. But using regular could have adverse effects on an engine that was designed to run on premium fuel and I would never recommend using anything less than what the manufacturer says.
