Acura TLX Type S Gets Downpipes and More in Philly!

11 ай бұрынAfter my family reunion.....I meet up with a customer in Philly to help them make their TLX Types S perform and sound better. They were ecstatic when done.
We installed the IMR Primary and Secondary Downpipes....and intercooler and intake.
This customer came all the way up from Maryland to this Philly location where we be doing more installs.
I worked along side Brian C Bell from Charlie's Transmissions to get this buttoned up and I can thank him enough for the space to work and helping hand.

@@imramerica I wish!! I have the down pipes and just waiting for the catback to come in. Last time I spoke with support he told me I was next in line, so I’ll be attempting to install it all soon lol. Going to be pairing it with hps intake, prl intercooler, and charge pipes. Can’t wait to go get it all installed.

@@christophermartin1472 When removing the OEM downpipe...you should remove the spring loaded bolt from the left side of the downpipe first. ;-)

Wow. The sound difference is night and day. Is this what your OEM Type S sounded like? I guess at the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Thanks for sharing yours.

Trust me it sounds different, I had him install high flow cats in mine paired with a full cat back exhaust & there's a definite change in sound

@@djsthemetereman Thanks for the reply. I wasn't trying to get my man worked up or butt hurt. I was really just asking a question. After his reply, I'm thinking maybe you need to be there. I went back and watched the video and this time I turned up the volume, and yes, there is definitely a difference. Sounds pretty good! I have a 2015 RC F, and the first and only performance mod was an Apexi N1cutback exhaust with resonators. Big difference! Power gain? Who knows, but I have big fun driving it, and I'm sure you do as well.

@@aerovaportrail1392 Yes I definitely have fun but man that RCF is a whole nother animal, that engine is tough & the sound is great stock but modded it's pure music to the ears so I know you're enjoying yours very much

I just recently purchased a 2023 TLX Type S in “Apex Blue” lol and wanted to do something just to give it a bit more power and to make the exhaust louder. I’m curious to see if you would give me a price for the exact same set up.
