Thanks Bob, the first shot you mentioned was on a charter in 2014 and had obviously been set up by the organiser to get the two trains passing. I've asked if a similar shot can be attempted again in November. You're correct in saying the last shot is a favourite and it semed appropriate to finish with a train going away even though this is a shorter version to the one on the full video of the 2014 charter

@@acw71000 How good of you take time to reply to my observations. I sort of gathered it was previous footage of the K1 but it was much appreciated. You know sometimes I think we all tend to concentrate on the machines and underplay the line's surroundings. However, nobody could accuse you of that in this offering. Keep up the good work.

The railway recreates from time to time the early days. Slate would be brought down from Blaenau Ffestiniog in these wagons and gravity would carry them down to the docks at Porthmadog. Horses, and later, locomotives would haul the wagons back up
