Very Honestly, Your videos are the reason my wife and I have decided to book a voyage with Havila. Going to do the RT 12 day voyage. Really love the decor, clean fuel, dining options and the small ship(s) atmosphere. Great quality video. Job well done. Respectfully, MCPO Jim.

I just hope Hurtigruten and Havila can survive. We did so on Hurtigruten twice with my motorbike going on board for part of my return journey to North Cape. We got on an around midnight in Molde and just loved the ship, so relaxed and civilised. Great video, well filmed and informative, thank you. skol

Sorry about that - I don't know what happened with the upload. I've tried to fix it but it still seems to be low. Perhaps try subtitles? I know it's not the best solution but a possible work around. Thanks for watching - I really appreciate it.

Great video! :) Good to know that there is also a stairlift available, do you think it can lift usually heavier electric wheelchairs?

Hi Amber, fabulous videos of the ship and dining experiences, you have inspired me to book, I have a question, can you let me know what english channels are available on the TVs in the cabins, and also do they have a selection of films and tv series as on P & O ? am just wondering if I need to take laptop or not, many thanks.

That's so great to the videos were helpful! Thank you for such a great question too about the in cabin TV. To be honest - I didn't spend much time watching TV in the cabin when i was on board, so i'm not sure what English channels there are. I know it won't be as extensive as P&O cruises. So you might want to take an iPad or laptop to watch anything in particular. also there is free WIFI on board the ships (i'm not sure if it's good enough for streaming). If i get any more info - i'll post an update here for you.

#CruiseWithAmber. Super series of programmes Amber. We've never cruised before and the smaller ships of Havila appeal. BUT, how is communication? We speak no Norwegan.

Thanks for watching and your lovely feedback. (there's an upcoming series of vlogs about my brief time on board so make sure your subscribed). Now to your question - Norwegians are usually fluent in English. The cruise director on our ship was fluent in English and German and did messages to passengers in both. Although learning a few conversational phrases in Norwegian wouldn't go amiss before you travel 😊 Takk!

Im so looking forward to watching this video! Im a 21 year old who has never traveled alone on a long holliday. But i really want to do the 12 day cruise from bergen to kirkenes to bergen. My biggest problem is probably fish and seafood. I can eat it. But i strongly prefer meat. Do you felt like this would be a problem for me? Or will i be totally fine? I saw there was 4 different eating menus during the cruise.

I think you might already have seen my dining guide kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kN6piLt7z8XWmYE.htmlsi=TUPus6lb8Ec9x3JF - there's all the menus in there. There was plenty of non fish selections. All the food was delicious - and don't forget to try the Havly cafe - there are some tasty burgers available.

We are doing the 12 day trip in October on Pollux. It’s operational date for first sailing is July. We hope it will be ready as the date has been put back several times

On June 30, Havila cancelled our July 21 departure cruise on Pollux. While Havila refunded everything I paid them, they refused to reimburse me for our flights and hotel night in Bergen citing force maejure.

@@pirjokujansuu6800I don’t think it is force majeure. It is not an “act of God” such as a volcanic eruption or something wholly unforeseen The company must have known when you paid that there was a problem with financing. Further your flight and hotel costs were foreseeable by Havila if you couldn’t go due to cancellation. The losses were “within the contemplation” of the parties. But we need to check whether our contract with Havila is governed by Norwegian or English law

Before booking with them in early June, we contacted their customer service department to ask if the type of cabin we wanted was available on their July 21 departure of the Pollux. Havila's answer was yes and they recommended we book. At that point they should have recommended we instead book on the Castor or Capella, but they did not…..

@@pirjokujansuu6800 oh no - i'm so sorry to hear of the cancellation. are you able to claim back on your travel insurance for the flights and hotel? could you travel agent help reschedule everything if you decide to rebook onto a later sailing?

Thank you - and thanks for watching - I sailed at the end of February/beginning of March - it was a great time to still see the Northern light and also have some decent daylight. Are you planning a trip soon?
