Adèle is phenomenal. The interviewer asked some really stupid questions here, but her responses (like always) were so thoughtful and sincere. This film totally broke me. I can't stop thinking about it.

Adèle made great points although the interviewer was not very helpful. In the film, the men at the beginning and the end represent how men in their world do not care about or even know about the happiness or the desires of women. So in the end, we feel we have understood a story of women, by women, but it was created for everyone.

Well said. Interviewers doesn’t seem to get what male gaze means lol him bringing up how many men were seen in the film was a clear indicator lol

Adèle connects the unequal power dynamics of the male gaze to the objectification of women, (and also the lack of joy in sensuality in that way of being), and "feminicide" (or "femicide"). I can see how she feels anger and pain about these issues, and I admire how she is always so brave.

Adele is very passionate when she speaks but in this case it almost necessary to push back because the guy wasn’t letting her finish speaking. He kept interrupting her. But as usual, Adele came through like the classy lady that she is. Bravo, Adele!

The only thing he does is filling gaps. If she doesn't talk, he talks, so there aren't boring and uncomfortable gaps.

@@fatyoshi447 I'll have to re-watch, but I think that, in general, he allows virtually no space before he jumps in. Hosts, yes, have to facilitate against awkward pacing for the sake of the show, but there's also this little thing (which at least some interviewers have) called respect for the guest. You give them enough space to think aloud, and also allow them to identify the real or best subject of the interview. He was just awkward and ultimately incurious about her views (even though it sounds at times as though he's genuinely inquiring about something). He comes at her with his own uninformed frame for the interview, and she has to fight him continually to re-frame it in a way that addresses the real purposes of the film!

*Two Things I Noticed.* Apart From The First Thing I Noticed Is She Is Surrounded By "Male Gaze", No Female In Sight, Adéle Is Much More Confident When She Is Talking To A Woman And Not When It's With Men, Not That I Believe She Is Comfortable Talking At All When The Attention Is On Her, She Gets Super Conscious & Maybe She Might Be A High Functioning Introvert (Also There Is A Sense Of Not Being "Safe" Most Women Feel Around Most Men) *First - She Wasn't Willing To Make Eye Contact (She Was **_THAT_** Uncomfortable)* *She Expected Douchebag Level Questions Going In For The Interview, Where Asshole Instead Of Asking* *Artistic & Respectful Question, Purposefully Ask Idiotic & Rude Questions To Throw The* *Actor Off Their Game, Which To Adèle's Credit, She Didn't Let That Happen And The Key* *Factor To That Was Not Making Eye Contact, Because She Knew She Was Not Their To* *Pick A Fight Or Create A Scene But Rather Promote The Movie,* *Neither Did She Want To Be Interrupted, Disrespected, Laughed At Or Worse Dismissed For Her Opinion, But More Importantly She Didn't Want To Get In An Argument,* *Which Brings Me To The Second Point* *That The Last Few 2~3 Minutes Was So* *Uncomfortable!! That Was Not Cute! That Showcased The Level Of Discomfort Adéle* *Felt In That Moment, She Didn't Want To Get Angry (Adèle Is An Honest & Passionate* *Human Being & She Feels Strongly About Feminism) But She Couldn't Help Herself* *When The Host Was Being Purposefully A Dumbass And Now She Regretted Her* *Momentary Lapse & Outburst, Because Though She (And All Of Us) Knows She Was* *Right In Her Anger, She Also Didn't Want The Movie (And Everyone Associated With The Movie) To Suffer For Her Reactive* *Temperament... @@fatyoshi447 I think that the use of "white man" is the expression of the new politically correct racism, but it's not racism since its against white men isn't it ? The word "feminism" is the affirmation of a discrimination, we should use "anti-sexism" , if we want to promote equality , but is it really the case ?

True, at the same time... She put her head down from the very beginning before the men and feminism questions. She is high functioning and brilliant which is evident... And when she gets into thought creation or thought relation mode, for the majority of it, she doesn't make eye contact with anyone. During any of her interviews - at least while she is in the zone and speaking. I think it distracts from her art, her brilliant way of relaying the message in its purest form - possible.
