On July 26, we will honor, celebrate and recognize 31 years since President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans With Disabilities Act into law.
In the decades leading up to that historic day, those with disabilities often faced barriers or literally roadblocks when moving around within a city, a village or a town. Today, curb-cuts are one of the most prominent symbols of inclusion. It was the result of a movement that began before the second World War.
Do you know when and where the first curb-cut was installed?
