He still has his magical voice. Usually people sound different as they mature but his voice sounds just as youthful as it ever was. Not that there is anything wrong with aging, he just has captured youth in a bottle with his style, demeanor, movement and vocals. Maybe he really is the vampire he portrayed in that movie 🖤

Adam has always been a favorite! I was mystified when he seemed to have fallen off the planet but since he's been honest and courageous enough to share his issues and why he vanished for so long my admiration is off the charts! He's a fantastic advocate for others who contend with these same issues every day and proof that you CAN win and don't have to give up doing what you love! Hats off to Adam!!!
@brmc61452 жыл бұрын
It's not that simple, most people with bipolar can't work and struggle to function, believe me he is lucky, I have it and live it
@karenmurphy60282 жыл бұрын
@@brmc6145 I'm not going to go into detail but am well aware there's nothing simple about it so please don't assume my statement implies anything of the kind. It simply means that as a public figure his being so honest and upfront about his own situation has helped make more people aware of what it's like for those who deal with this every day. That you do so is very much to your credit and I wish you the best.
@jenx58704 ай бұрын
@@brmc6145That's not true. I have it, and I am fully functional. I have been an RN for 28 yrs, and I am state certified to teach classes on mental illness and developmental disabilities. Many people with Bipolar Disorder are able to live full lives, as long as they stay on their medications, aside from the fact that there are two types of Bipolar Disorder. Type 2 is far more manageable, due to hypomania vs mania with potential psychosis. Every person is different. A person has to want to get well and remain on their medications. He is living proof. I also have an uncle with Bipolar disorder who is fully functional, and my sister's now deceased mother - in - law (cancer) had it. As long as she stayed on her medication, she was fine, and she was able to function in society. See a theme? It all boils down to personal responsibility. That's leaving out all of the patients that I have ever taken care of with the disorder, whose symptoms are well controlled by their meds. Out of all of them, I only have one who still has delusions and manic episodes, and that's because the psychiatrist decided to decrease and remove meds due to state regulations (he lives in a group home). We are now adding meds to his regimen again. No side effects noted, and yes, he is able to tell us. If someone isn't able to function, they are either not on the correct medication, or they aren't taking them. Or they are using their diagnosis as an excuse. Incidentally, most of the time is spent in a depressive or neutral state, rather than a manic state. Try telling people with clinical depression that they shouldn't be working, because most do out of necessity. I still have severe depression to the point of apathy about my life (can't take antidepressants with Bipolar), and I still cycle. I still work. There are many just like me. Most of us can't afford not to work. I also have CRPS in my right ankle, which causes severe, chronic pain. I qualify for disability. Who the hell can afford to not work for years waiting for a disability hearing to work in their favor? More importantly, if one is capable of working, who wants only a little money, when you make more by having a job?

It's difficult to live up to peoples memories and what they may expect, especially when you're a perfectionist. The thought doesn't leave you. . No easy feat and all you want to do is make people happy buuuuut. .. Never underestimate the blood, sweat and tears of fabulous determination, love and the enigmatic pull of Adam and the band because I would've happily waited for as long as I had to because THEY BEYOND ROCKED IT! No matter what year or where, let this be a lesson to all those who try to replicate or question what 'it' is.... The genius and beauty, inside and out of a true showman CAN'T be imitated and NEVER dissipates! Just take a little 'hibernation' time every now and again... THANK YOU with so much LOVE. .. til the next time. XX
