2019, saw him this summer at the Beacon Theater here in NYC. Friend or Foe Tour. First time seeing him and I was blown away. Great presence, great moves, great personality, tight band and an especially amazing PAIR of drummers. His early work is so rhythm/percussion focused but you really feel it live. On certain songs in the set there are these downright primal moments, both drummers playing their parts and the two guitarists playing stand-up drums of their own-the audience jumps to their feet, not a soul sitting down. Highly recommend seeing him live if you’re a fan of great Rock and roll, punk/post punk, rock-a-billy etc-sh*t that makes you move! #antmusic

Scott Morley, why do you think todays music is horrible? I'm guessing you must be one of the typical older generation who denies anything new and constantly lives in the past. That must suck. There's so much great new music out there today if you just look for it. If you only knew what you were missing. Unfortunately your bitterness towards todays music will prevent you from accepting that.

Frontman Video I know this question was directed at someone else, but as someone who agrees, maybe I can put things into perspective. I grew up in the 80s & 90s, and I can't really recall any music from the latter, yet I can name over 1,000 songs from the 80s, without having to even think. I'm not saying the 80s were the "best" decade musically, as the 60s & 70s also had their share of influence on 80s music; however, nothing from the 90s on has any real "staying power". Much of today's "music" is manufactured, both in content, and image, with no unique concept. In the 90s, we had Boy Bands, Hair Bands, & Gangsta Rap, and not one standout from each genre; on the other hand, if I pop in a random 80s track, I know who it is almost immediately, even if it's a B-side/album track I'm not overly familiar with. The same goes for the previous decades. It seems now, there's a "formula" that's regurgitated by producers, just because it worked once, and there aren't many unique, consummate performers. Honestly, I can't differentiate between Demi Lovato & Ariana Grande, and the only 90s artists that I recall are the ones we made fun of, like Vanilla Ice & NKOTB...

I don't ever recall this being released, as a Gen X'er, but it's defo got the feel of an artist/track that's embraced the sound of the day and moved on from previous works. Not his greatest work but he wasn't exactly having the greatest of times either in the late 80's/early 90's.

Marie Antoinette is Sarah Stockbridge, the equestrienne is Phina Oruche (as the lady herself has recently informed me!), Calamity Jane is Palas Citron, and Miss Liberty is Miss Jackie.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the positive comments for adam ant. I've been in love with this man for years since I was a teenager in the 80's and I STILL find his music and style unique and definitely beautiful but never knew anyone that ever cared two bits about him. I guess the internet is good for something after all, I'll have to get my own account soon (this is my daughter's acct btw & she hates wen I post comments)
