That’s a great historical insight, and by all means homeboys should get his recognition. That being said I think we should all be cognizant of the fact that we all live in this country together, and we live in a cultural soup or nothing exists outside of itself. Recognize that there’s a fine line between being proud of your culture and its contributions. The other side of the coin is when people in that same culture feel the need to continually stake claim to said contributions. When you go too far in that direction it reeks of desperation, and comes off as cope.
