I think there's only so much actual hate you can have for a character before they cross from Heel to annoyance. When you watch a movie with heroes and villains, you don't want to be screaming in your seat begging for the slaughter of the villain and their whole family, you want to feel sympathy for the hero and the victims or potential victims of the villain's wrongdoing. A perfect example of being a compelling villain and just an annoying villain is Bray Wyatt vs Stephanie McMahon, Vickie Guerrero, John Lauranitis, or pretty much any authority figure. Bray Wyatt is a damn cult leader, there's no keeping a cult leader gimmick and turning face for him, and he's been used as a villain for the likes of John Cena, Undertaker, and Randy Orton at wrestlemania, and we find ourselves still wanting to see more of him and are intrigued by his history with Sister Abigail and what makes his character so demented and insane. Meanwhile, people think Steph and Vickie are just whiny shrieking bitches who need an ass kicking, and John Lauranitis is a boring man who sounds like he has a throat disease and a stick up his ass. Being annoying and hateable isn't what makes you a good villain, being a despicable character who intrigues and entertains the audience is. If that character can make you genuinely dislike them while doing that, they're doing a good job, but just annoying the fans isn't a good way to be a villain, it's just how to be an asshole.

Michael Castro WCPW is the only company so far to make me hate the heels for being heels and not because of some other reason I didn't like Ospreay I didn't like Connors and I didn't like Hendry but I could see they were good unlike in WWE where I hate Brock because he's a lazy part timer who can't put on a long 1 on 1 match or do more than suplexes or Jinder who devalued the title and he's boring not really good in the ring or on the mic he's got an old boring racist gimmick and sounds like John Laurinaitus

I hate hendry because he was being pushed against kurt angle even though he is no where near that level in ring. i understand he wants to amateur wrestle but he shouldnt be champion if he cant put on the best matches. #hardtruth

Sophie Matthews he can put on decent matches and his feud with Angle was to elevate him plus the Local hero vs the Olympic hero sounds good and his mic skills and heel work are what make him good

+Sophie Matthews How is he "nowhere near that level" in the ring? you can call it hard truth all you want it doesn't make it fact and is just one persons opinion, yours... hendry has been working for years and his technical ability is superb, he is 10 times better than angle was at that early stage of his career so you clearly never watched him outside of WCPW and are judging soley on the fact that angle was a champ in WWE and hendry fought him in WCPW.... except angle was given a push without a tiny bit of wrestling experience outside of amateur wrestling when he was in WWE and it was simply based on who he was not based on his wrestling ability even angle himself has said that many times over the years during interviews, hendry is being pushed based on his wrestling ability and ability on the mic unlike angle who was pretty bad at both when he started out but picked it up as he went and it was the comedy angles that really sold angle anyway and had nothing to do with his personality, face it angle wasn't doing moonsaults at the olympics xD so he never got into WWE based on his in ring ability, he got a huge push simply based on the fact his name carried weight to Americans and sports fans in general, hendry was pushed based purely on his mic and in ring ability and angle knew that which is why he was happy to face him, sorry but you clearly have zero knowledge when it comes to wrestling or it's performers or even the wrestlers backgrounds.
