Shia feels everyone on a spiritual level, and I mean that in a good way

I worry about Shia as a person but when it comes to his passion for his craft I know if he stays that way he will be okay.

for some reason shia’s intensity and investment during this makes like him more even though Im not a big fan of him as an actor. hes good in some things but not so good in others to me.

and robert de niro is like the opposite, seems confused

It is nice to see "genuine" people become "genuine" actors...Adam is pretty old fashioned in terms of his process as well as his mannerisms off screen as well..very much like pacino and de niro were in the 70s...idk why ppl are so focused on chalamet..that guy is nothing more than a pompous spolied brat...genuine actors..are people that found acting as their last option..you do not wake up one day and say "i want to be an actor"..you dont star in a school play and say "i caught the acting bug"..you have to live through alot of hardship..hardship that will scar you..hardship that will make you want to find another world to be absorbed in..maybe this path is more for method actors idk..but..you nees to have lived a life where you have had nothing..inorder to portray characters as such..

Yeah. I don't particularly like the new Star Wars trilogy, but i loved Adam Driver's performance. His emotional range was really impressive to see for a character supposed to be the villain.

It was a good show, though. It was young women as many people had never seen them before and I credit Lena and Judd for that aspect of it. Adam, of course, was the reason I watched from season 3 onward.

He should/could be part of this roundtable because he has a new film out called The Lighthouse and he is great in it. In general he is a very good actor. You have to watch his more recent films (Cosmopolis, The Rover, Good Time, Lost City of Z, The Lighthouse).

it's okay. It's severely lacking in many ways... but it was alright. I kind of wanted MORE from it. there's a lot of awkward glances, raw emotion, and good acting, but the STORY didn't convince me this was a real divorced couple. shockingly the reason this didn't work was because of Johansson's acting. I don't think she truly understood her character... like at all. it translates as a tad "try hard" and a little lost. I wasn't sympathizing with her or caring about her at all. she TELLS us what's going on and why she's reacting this way but doesn't SHOW us. the movie doesn't show anything, in fact. Adam Driver was the real star of this movie, but he can only do so much with that boring script and oddly timed dialogue. I mean, the character Charlie had an affair and we only hear about it for like 10 seconds of the movie; no flashbacks, no rhyme or reason or remorse and the encounter he has WITH the woman he had an affair with is so forced that it comes across as comical and this isn't a comedy. the first 10 minutes of the movie are just the two of them reading a list of reasons why they like each other. but, they clearly do NOT like each other. there's zero chemistry and you forget why the two of them were ever even together in the first place. therefore I don't FEEL the pain or the sense of despair real divorce actually brings people. it looked more like a minor inconvenience masquerading as true pain. he's worried about the son living in L.A. with his ex-wife because he doesn't want to live there and that's like... it. that's the movie of "marriage story." just a dribble about self-important actors trying to outdo one another. and don't even get me started on the kid... god, that kid... he needed a SERIOUS ass beating.

This was the first time I read a comment about the movie and finally realized y it didn't connect with me. Everyone's raving on it...I didn't cry. The only time I felt anything was when Adam had his break down scene and wished Scarlett dead..but that was just because he's great not because the storyline backed up his emotion.
