The way American media painted the Klitschko Era, you'd think 90% of contenders were amateurs that learned how to box two days ago. Helenius in his prime was a respectable fighter, good slugger with a powerful left hook. One could wonder how much he could've accomplished if he didn't have contract disputes with Team Sauerland and wasn't injured all the time.

I don't get it either. What I have gathered people usually stand behind their national boxing hero but over here in Finland people tend to talk Helenius down, even though he has just recently demonstrated exceptional growth as a boxer as he pummeled Adam Kownacki in both fights. The second fight was even better as Robert made Adam look completely broken from the first punch he threw. And he represents us with class in interviews etc. I hope all the best for Robert and we should be proud of him. Can't wait his next fight since it might be bigger than these two against Adam.

Brett Fulmer Kownacki said he would walk right through Wilder's punches. Wilder should never throw punches going backwards like against Fury. At least Wilder does not use his face as a punching bag. Wilder despite his lack of skills. His defense is still better than Baby Face. lol!
@attilathehun0
@attilathehun0 4 жыл бұрын
Helenius proved that styles do make fights. Before the fight some of us fans and Baby Face were gauging Helenius. Adam stopped Washington. Washington stopped Helenius and Robert is 36. It was supposed to be a low risk winnable fight. Robert found his range in the second round. Then in the 4th round complete destruction of Kownacki. It was a 10-1 upset despite a close WBA ranking between the 2 fighters. Adam better learn some defense or it is just going to get worse for him. A fighter just can't walk through punches and Adam did walked into several punches with his face and he paid the price.
