Adam Lambert talks Isle of Wight Festival, being single and why Queen don't camp with James Barr
Here's the good news - Queen and Adam Lambert are going to be playing the Isle of Wight Festival next year!
Unfortunately the bad news is that they won't be camping on site with the rest of us, which means you won't see Adam making a Pot Noodle on a camping stove while you're there.
That crushing disappointment aside, Adam dropped by to tell James Barr all about headlining the festival, his new music, why he's not touching up ALL his selfies and how he's enjoying being single at the moment.

I'm 63 yet I buy Adam's albums. I'm a Queen fan from 40 yrs ago, and discovered Adam when Queen began touring agan. He is so close to Freddie voice and performances. Wow !

I'm 45 and was listening to Queen in the womb (literally). I love that you aren't an Adam hater- so many older Queen fans are not. 👑

@@kiahmadison8541 I think the haters are the very vocal minority. Saw Queen + Adam in 2014, they were phenomenal!! Massive fan of Queen my whole life, love Freddie. But I'm so happy Adam is able to give Queen songs new life. Roger and Brian are so happy. Adam's voice is otherworldly ❤

Can't help smiling every time I hear Adam speak & the interviewer was so cute & nice, Adam has always been low maintenance, very adaptable & never an arrogant, entitled celeb. He's just a nice, down to earth guy that's so friendly & fun. What a treat it will be for The isle of Wight. Queen & Adam will be better than you can imagine! Love them & saw them play in the US. Best concert I've ever seen!

I don't think Adam cared about the Kim K app. He didn't seem very interested. I hate it when interviewers waste time on crappy subjects.

So let me imagine this: you have an empty spot in your heart; you're promoting love - but you don't have it. Don't you think we "clock that"? As a result, doesn't "the work" suffer? Because the work is about promoting love... but we all just sit around with each other, and you, because we have an empty spot in our hearts. So basically we're just using that Love Bank as per religious institutions (which is a Bank of feeling happy feelings, of running on the overall atmosphere), which deepens the loneliness in real life. We are CRAZY. I "clocked it" the first time I started following you - I thought, "oh boy, here is a Rainbow guy, I don't want him to be lonely, please not again, let's do this differently please please!". So much for that. Oh and that time I told someone, "I'm really terribly scared he'll lose this" and they told me "whatever, don't be so attached, I'm just interested in his work and blabla, the personal aspect doesn't matter". That's promoting true love, I suppose? You're not busy - you're confused... just as I am/was, because we share similar brain activities, and the "energy" we put into the work, etc... I totally get it. But it's because I get it, that this is so crap. How can you stand on a stage and sing "Somebody To Love" convincingly, when all this stuff is going on in the background? Are people that blind? No we're not, I "clock" every single thing that happens onstage - and the only reason I don't clock everything is because I get tired of always being so damn aware.
