37 years old, grew up loving the hell out of Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore because of all the obvious reasons. But what didn't occur to me until I was a grown man was how sweet the core of his movies are. Billy Madison...he looks after elementary school kids and loves and trusts Carl and gives him the hotel. Happy Gilmore...his entrie motivation is his grandma. Waterboy is rooted in his love for his mother. Big Daddy...he falls in love with a kid that's not even his. It goes on and on. The point is, Sandler is clearly a very kind, warm-hearted, caring person and even if you think his movies are chilidish you should at least respect how he goes about his business.

As much as you want to a good rule of thumb is to never trust an actors persona. They are careered pretenders. I feel similar about terry crews but it’s best to assume the face you see on camera isn’t their genuine personality. Maybe if it wasn't for Phoenixs performance in Joker he would have had a better shot. He atleast deserved too be in the nominations at the very least. @@joevilla340 His profession is an actor. You cant trust any of who he is since his career is playing pretend. My bigger point in general is he clearly dresses like the characters he plays. So which is it Adam Sandler plays himself in movies? Or Adam Sandler plays his persona in interviews? He is a responsible/successful guy with a lot more depth in reality than the character everybody knows. So my judgement is he plays into his role and he isn't actually this casual. He could dress anyway he wants but he chooses to dress like his characters. Dressing like that has financial incentives towards his brand compared to other styles he could pick. So I have doubt its genuine. My only attack of actors character is they pretend that this is who they really are. It creates dishonesty that there's incentives to commit to their roles like its their lifestyle. MAINLY MORE PEOPLE NEED TO SITRUST ACTORS AND RECOGNIZE ITS THEIR JOB TO BE FAKE.
