After becoming a Saturday Night Live cast member, Sandler went on to star in many Hollywood feature films that combined have grossed over $2 billion at the box office.[1] He is best known for his comedic roles, such as in the films Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), The Wedding Singer (1998), The Waterboy (1998), Big Daddy (1999), and Mr. Deeds (2002), though he has ventured into more dramatic territory with his roles in Punch-Drunk Love (2002), Spanglish (2004), Reign Over Me (2007), and Funny People (2009). In 1999, Sandler founded Happy Madison Productions, a film and television production company that has produced numerous films and developed the 2007 television series Rules of Engagement.

He also didn't found his company in 99, like the discription says, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmour, and The Wedding singer and the water boy were all released by 98 under happy/madison.

Actually he is referencing the movie indirectly. But the general question was if the movie role departed from his regular duties on SNL, being that both are in front of a live audience. The interviewer is grasping at straws because all he knows about Adam is that he's on SNL and now he's promoting a movie about a rock band. The interviewer is the one who needs to go to "hip school" because he's trying to ask serious questions about a comedy movie with the title "Airheads." If he had the slightest inkling of the subject matter of the movie, he'd realize that HE is the clueless gatekeeper that separates bands from reaching their like minded audience. This is due to a certain religious groups monopoly over the entertainment industry.
