This was the first time (as far as I know) that he attempted the quad Flip in competition. He stayed on 1 foot and managed to "complete" the combination, even with just the double and after the turn. This was really gutsy of him, and I'd say an important milestone for him! :)

@@Frenchie100 yes I was surprised as well as he was doing quad toe instead in his warmup so I didn’t think he would really attempt it here :o

@@mooony94 I think that perhaps seeing Kevin's first place despite a lighter jump combination and a mistake on the triple lutz, he said to himself that there was not much risk in trying 4 flip, and that whatever the outcome from the vault, he would still finish first, and he did well I think. Especially since he had already proposed the quadruple lutz and the triple axel before.

DANG! Did Not expeect him to do a QUAD FLIP for the first time ever - as far as I know - in compeition. The (very amateurish/unprepared) commentators started off with "I wonder if he's going to attempt a quad today". LOL. Given how smooth his 4T3T has become, this decision to put the quad Flip in here looks to me like a "oh, why not? let's give the fans something to enjoy!" as well as of course "getting it done" in competition. The commentators, very on point (irony), described his quad Flip as a triple. Even watching the slow motion, they repeated "triple Flip", only to end with a "... was it a triple, I didn't count the rotations", but without ever daring to say "THIS WAS A QUAD FLIP!" They obviously wouldn't know that this was his first quad flip ever in competition.

This is typical of French commentators, I allow myself to say it because I am French, they always exaggerate the compliments because French is chauvinistic (in general) and are not always very competent as a commentator, don't see that the flip d Adam is an under-rotated 4F, it's really bad, but hey, on the other hand they are nice to all the skaters, and point out their positive points. Another thing that made me laugh when they interviewed Adam after his FS: "Aaah it was divine", and Adam: "well no, I made mistakes" very sincere and natural. Well done Adam, 5 quads, I can't wait to see him have them all on point, I think he will get there.

Feels like his competition schedule is tight. GP Finals was just on weekends, and here he is competing again. I hope that he will get some good rest afterwards.

Qui sont ces commentateurs qui ne connaissent pas les sauts que les patineurs exécutent ? Trop drôle 😂😂😂L'autre jour aussi durant le prg court ils ne savaientmpas la différence entre un flip et un lutz...franchement honteux 🤬🤬🤬

Ничего-то уж особо потрясающего в этой программе нет - видали мы короткие программы и покруче, которые оставили яркий след в истории ФК. Ошибки впечатление смазывают и очень сильно. Но поклон спортсмену за то, что он идёт на риск: виден боец! 😎☝️

technically weak. simplifying its SP because you are on your own nationals is a wrong strategy

He did a 4lutz and a 4Flip in combination (for the first time in competition). 2 Quads is not technically weak.

The only "simple" thing is a 2T on the combination because he had a turn out on the 4F, the first time he was doing that jump in competition... He just attempted the hardest possible program technically without 4A
