He's spot on in his last segment about players and the media and the fan interest. Back in the 90s, I was into books about basketball and books written by basketball players about basketball and anything. I don't think I was alone in getting my fix that way and I think all this player produced media in the digital age is a continuation of that. As a kid, I was always amazed about how the NBA greats had a lot of interesting insights about life: Sacred Hoops by Phil Jackson, The Winner Within by Pat Riley, A View From Above by Wilt Chamberlain, My Life by Earvin Magic Johnson, Shaq Talks Back, the list goes on and on.

Speaking for myself, I do not *love* the NBA product as it currently stands. But it's the only option because I love the fundamental game of basketball.

Got to hand it to Adam Silver. Very articulate, avoids rhetoric, respects the fans, see's the big picture, and acknowledges shortcomings.

Say what you want about Adam Silver but he has transformed basketball in so many ways. Could’ve easily fumbled. Look at Roger Goodell and the NFL. Can’t name 1 person who likes Goodell lol

Loads dont like SIlver, soft league, too much player movement, too many soft techs and soft fouls in general and overall complacency.
