Although in the case of Ali, he was not undisputed champion during most of his 1960s reign. He won undisputed when he beat Sonny Liston, but 7 months later (before he made his first defence) he was stripped by the WBA. This was then won by Ernie Terrell, who defended the title for the next 2 years until Ali beat him and unified the title again. The same between 1968 and 1970, when both Jimmy Ellis and Joe Frazier were the heavyweight champion.

That's because there was one title for Marciano, Dempsey and Liston. The WBC title was the sole title until 1962 when the WBA was formed in New York. Then you had to win both world titles for undisputed status but that term wasn't coined until the 70s. So whilst you are right it was the norm there was only one real world title and that was the WBC prior to 1962. So if we go to them standards you mentioned Tyson Fury already is your undisputed world champion as he has the true lineal title

Not sure how anyone could predict a Usyk KO and keep a straight face. Usyk is a pumped up CW nearer forty than 30 (i.e. he is not naturally "filling out" to HW) who was not an especially big punching CW let alone a big punching HW. And Fury has proven he can take a good shot. If Usyk wins it will surely be on points but if he does win it will for me be one of the biggest upsets in HW boxing history. A more likely result is that Fury will use his size and weight to bore his way to a points win. Fury is a bear of a man with skill and a dose of shithousery thrown in. Usyk has a mountain to climb.

Usyk has two chances to knock out Fury, slim and none. And slim just left town.
