Disagree, while i appreciate them not giving us 4/5ths of the plot with educated good guess of how it ends. I did need alittle more narrative to see if i'm interested. Alittle more explantation

Got my attention... it must be really confusing and heartbreaking for any kid to be abandoned and betrayed by their mother or father. They say 'you don't miss what you never had' but I think a child instinctively craves a mother and a father that are present, that care enough to guide them on how to survive and thrive in this dumb and dirty world. (No doubt there are plenty of kids out there with both parents, that suffer too... so, I guess there are no guarantees. You grow up and just learn to cope with the parents life gave you, the good, the bad and the ugly. It is those rare few kids that have been born with the strength of character that have an unbreakable will to survive the worst and eventually learn the trick is to believe in themselves.)

@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 Not sure why you're being just so emphatic about trying to correct me on a point I made initially when I flat out said "so for me he's always gonna be" etc etc. Also, I never said I'm unable to see him in any other role, just that when his name is mentioned the Hank Moody character is what I picture. He's not just a good actor; he's an absolute master at delivering very deadpan humor which is pretty uncommon.

Hank Moody shed off Fox Mulder easily for Duchovny. Saw every X Files season and the movies, and since Californication, it's even easier to see him as whatever character he's playing

@@happyexmussie7085 Take off the rose-colored glasses, there's never actually been a time in history where fathers were present: when they were a member of the family as you claim, they were either working all day every day, or being conscripted to go to war, or dying in said wars. You probably think of Russia as being a country with 'strong fathers' when in reality nearly every father was killed in WWII. Human history is essentially a tale of single mothers: only rich families are the exception to this rule, and are today as much as they've ever been
