Taking Delivery of my 992 Turbo S!

Күн бұрынIn March I took delivery of a 992 Turbo S that I spec'd out earlier this year. You guys know I've been talking about one for a while - they're essentially Porsche's flagship car of performance/technology and I finally pulled the trigger. I've been keeping it a secret for two reasons... It was about the same time as the LZ Compound reveal - which would've came off as way too flashy/look at me - and it would've taken away from the continuity of compound specific videos. The real reason I've been keeping it a secret... is not a good one. About a week after owning the car... something happened, and I'm not sure if/when it will be back. So please be patient with me - I have a few videos on it, but really only decided to post because Mike is on vacation and I haven't had time to edit any of my more recent content (been filming with the GT3 in the Smoky Mountains). I hate posting this video knowing that the car will be gone for the foreseeable future, but it is what it is. Sorry for the long description - I just didn't really explain anything in the video.

It’s so refreshing to see a car KZfaq be a “Porsche guy” they are the most over engineered cars, and the only exotic ( with exception to the huracan) that is specifically made to be beat to hell and only need brakes, oil, and tires. The best driver cars. Period. Everybody on KZfaq has more money than brains, so they end up just buying the newest, most trendy super car. Hell yeah!

I love the color black in my cars. Get it paint film protected because black is hard to keep clean and the scratches, dings and rock chips will show more. When I wash my car it’s much faster to wash, the water bead is amazing, oh and dry it with a high power leaf blower, very fast to get dry with a leaf blower. Gorgeous car man, it really pops. Enjoy!

Adam if you see this:I know for a fact those have a soft limiter. The trick to rev it all the way up. 1.Put it in first gear. 2.Hold both of the padels behind the steering wheel and rev it.

Adam ,yes the little bump under the steering wheel is the Porsche ejector seat option which you didn't include in your build, so they cover it up for you so you can use it as a finger massage on long drives (-:

They most definitely are not broken in on the showroom floor. Once the engine is assembled in the factory, it gets hooked up to the engine bench dyno. It’s then brought up to operating temperature and put through a series of tests to make sure the components are all operational before marrying it to the body of the vehicle. It's foolish to disregard the advised "break-in" period on vehicles like these though. When every bit of driving data is constantly being collected and shared with the manufacturer and the dealers service centers that perform the scheduled maintenance on them indefinitely. Beautiful spec though, and congratulations on your purchase.😃👍 I'm too OCD about fingerprints, swirls, and holograms that their soft paint tends to pick up along the way to ever consider black. Satin clear PPF is a godsend for the center stack capacitive touch controls to avoid prints and scratches though.

Agreed. The other brands are what they are, but the Porsche 911 just does everything right. When you continually improve and build on a platform for 55 years or so, even the newest of other brands have a hard time matching up overall.

The button on the sport control is the overboost button. It maxes out Turbo PSI and drops to the lowest gear possible. I’m pretty sure it’s a 7 second full power kick.
