Vizhinjam has the deepest draft in Asia. Almost 20 metres natural depth without dredging! Ships carrying 24,000 TEUs can easily dock here. Whereas other busy ports like JNPT and Mundra can only handle ships carrying 8000 TEU.

It is not Adani's port ! It is a project by Kerala Govt in PPP model, and Adani is the private player to build operate and transfer.
