My friend, this is simply sensational!!!! For some time I was thinking about how I could replace those orange fire starter since here where I live (Brazil), they are very difficult to find and when I do find them, they are very expensive!!!! Thank you so much for the excellent idea!!!! Hug.

Spartan is a good choice. Simple and easy to carry, with two blades. Essential functions included. Put a mini screwdriver in the corkscrew, and a needle in the little hole, and you are set for anything. :)

Beeswax won't, also a sheath fashioned out of straw or shrink tube, would protect the tender from wear when carrying in the pocket.

Not if you're in the middle of the woods and need to make a fire.... 😉 But if you're in the city and need to get rid of handcuffs or try to open a door lock, then yes, the clip will undoubtedly be more useful... 😉😎
