Күн бұрынAdding a wholesale area to your Shopify store is easy, and it doesn't require an expensive app. Just copy and paste a bit of code and you're all set! This tutorial will help you set up a wholesale section in your Shopify store. This means that you'll be able to make certain products, collections, and pages locked down so that only customers that you've approved as wholesalers will have access to them. This method uses Shopify's existing customer accounts feature--just tag the customer accounts who you've approved and they'll be able to access your wholesale products, collections, and pages.

@@kaylaowens8411 I had the same problem and needed up re generating the files as Jason files in stead of liquid files like I did at first. now they auto filled and it works! Haven't got the menu change working though

for everyone creating the templates and not having them autofilled... make sure they are .json instead of .liquid . it should autofill. i think shopify changed the way their code works recently and this video might be a little outdated.

For anyone trying to figure out how to hide these wholesale products from search, you gotta go into your metafields settings and create an option manually. There's a shopify thread on it already that has instructions called "Does Anyone Know How To Hide Certain Products From Search Bar In Shopify Store?"

I’ve seen some websites where they have their collection list blocked with a passcode to enter their wholesale items. Do you happen to know how to do that? I can’t find any videos on it and your videos are always helpful and easy to follow. I followed this one but for some reason when I hit publish it only lets me do one or the other. I don’t like that my regular customers can see my wholesale item price

Works perfectly, except if a customer searches for a product... it appears showing image and pricing. Although they can't click on the product to view further or purchase. Any way to hide wholesale from searching?

I'm using the impulse theme and can't find {% for link in linklists.main-menu.links %} or {% for link in linklists[section.settings.main_linklist].links %} Do you know where it would be? To find out if I have mobile or desktop seperate code in my theme where would I look? It's all working up until step 6 show a different navigation menu to wholesalers.

yes, you can change price based on customer tag. a wholesale app is the easiest way... "wholesale club" or "sparklayer" for prcing... "helium customer fields" for b2b sign ups and auto tagging customers

Hi. I am so excited about this and have gone through the steps to get everything set up but I'm stumbling on the navigation piece. I use the Shopify theme Supply. The navigation menu code I found is {% for link in linklists[section.settings.menu].links %} in the site-nav.liquid file. But when I replace it with the code from your download file I receive an error saying it can't save and notes something about an {endfor}. Please advice. And thanks so much!

This was a great video thanks man, The only thing I can’t get to work is the desktop menu change when customer tag wholesale. Mobile is working fine and I put the desktop code for center and left but it still doesn’t change. Do you know if the code has change in the last 5 months? Thanks again

Merci for making a difference for new business like this, it is greatly appreciated Andrew!! But I have encountered a problem and I have exhausted all my solutions to find the answer. My hopes are that perhaps it’s something very easy that I just cannot see. Like Andrew mentioned in the video, I have tried many B2B app and they have created the tag “Wholesale” with a capital “W”, therefore when I try to add to a client the tag “wholesale” without capital “W” it doesn’t work since it goes directly to a previously added tag with capital later. Is there a place in the code that I can replace the fact the client needs to have the tag “wholesale” with a capital W? Do you think it’s something that is achievable? I have no word to express how much gratitude I would have if you did. I have gone through each pages, template, snippers etc to try to find the answer of where the word wholesale could be use with capital "W" but no luck. Hopefully something can help? 🤞🤞

Ok for those who were wondering how to do it, I just tried this and it works. I'll let @Andrew from EcomExperts confirm the code but on my side, I have now a footer menu different for my wholesale section than my regular customers section. I replaced the line {%- for link in linklists[footer_linklist].links -%} With this code: {% assign footer_linklist = 'footer' %} {% if customer %} {% if customer.tags contains 'wholesale' %} {% assign footer_linklist = 'footer-menu-wholesale' %} {% endif %} {% endif %} {% for link in linklists[footer_linklist].links %} And when creating my different Footer Menu (in navigation) I called it Footer Menu Wholesale (so the anchor is ''footer-menu-wholesale") to match my code "footer-menu-wholesale"

You would help so many shops if you could help with this issue! Shopify makes you add qty to your variants... and we need a way around this. Example: I make candles. Say I bought 5 bowls I was going to make candles out of, but I will only have 5 and after 5 sell they need to be marked as out of stock. But I have 20 different scents to chose from. Shopify says I have to put a qty on each variant (scent). If I did that then I would oversell if I didn't keep an eye on it all the time. Any ideas around it? I'd appreciate it forever!

Would it be possible to just add a text box for that specific item? I make items that I can pop a name onto, so I ask customers to put the name in the box, so I know what name they would like to use. You could do that for the scents, and then you don't have to worry about having inventory for all of the variants, and possibly getting two orders at the same time, when you don't have the stock for it.

Also, what if some products I want my retail customers to be able to buy, but also my wholesale customers, just at different price points. So like for the zipped jacket. I would want that to be available to both wholesale and retail, just at different prices, quantities, etc.

so easy with apps. I use "helium customer fields" to register and tag b2b customers, and "wholesale club" to show different prices to retail vs wholesale customers

It works great except people can still see wholesale items when searching. Can anyone help to hide items marked wholesale in search?

I found it! you can hide items from search in the bulk editor. choose SEO tag hidden and done.

Hi, Is it possible to do wholesale pricing instead of hide the product to the customers but indeed, show them the same product but they don't see the same price?

Just don't show wholesale collection until the customer is logged in :)

Does anyone know if there is code to hide wholesale products so that when my regular customers click “shop all” it doesn’t show all the duplicates? I have the code the directs them to login as wholesaler to view the product but they still all show up in my “shop all”.

@@Macprincess32 I’m just using excel files with my products and prices and I send that to my wholesale customers and refer them back to our retail website if they need to see pics or item descriptions then they mark down what they want on the excel file and send it back to me. Haven’t been able to find option to have both on Shopify so this method works good enough in the meantime

I think for this method you need different products/collections that use differnt shipping profiles. For this, I use the sparklayer app to create collections and bundles specific to approved b2b customers... and I use helium customer fields to register and approve new wholesale accounts. helium adds the customer tag automaticlally to approved customers
