Definitely my fave table out of the 2 games and also prefer the AFM artwork . It’s the one I would have got if they released at the same time for sure!

Glad I moved to have the SSF factory installed. My cats would find the subwoofer hole an open invitation to a dark warm hiding place. I think that could be quite shocking.

@@KelsallsArcade☺️I just meant was it ever an option that AtGames installed it at the factory prior to shipment. It’s my understanding that this is a DIY only option.

I agree. My 4K machine comes tomorrow. When I heard Solenoids were included I assumed it would be equal to the mars attacks 1 up. That sucks that the bumpers dont knock.

@KelsallsArcade nobody is going to be pissed because they just won't pay it then discounts will come or it will be retired. Unfortunately when I played one the flipper lag is unbearable.

@@jjsrt8 it was on first play, but don’t notice now without ball trails and pop up scores. Agree $1500 is going to prove many people out of the market. Maybe they should consider releasing zen on Hd and keep that as a budget version 🤷🏻‍♂️

Holding out for Twilight Zone. Cheaper too and after any bugs are ironed out. Definitely on my want list. Does it have a better local leaderboard? Last one was only what, 5 deep?

I think you can pan left and right on the local board. Not sure how many scores saved off top of my head . Its shows 5 by default

Ya that wiring is a mess. I would have to rewire it so my PC can fit inside. lol. I have the Legends HD and have been holding off as I was really disappointed with the OTG performance on the HD. I was going to make it a dedicated VPin out of it but if OTG is really good on here might sell it and get the 4K. So far it's looking pretty good.

What do you mean that it lacks hapatic feedback? Are you sure? I own the legend's pinball 1080 version and it has hapatic feedback but some come not working im on my third set but i get the feedback under my hands...best check that they atrnt hanging off under the top plate as mine where.

It has haptics when you press the flippers. It doesn’t have haptics when the ball hits the bumpers. Hard to explain how good the feedback is on the 1up unless you’ve actually played it . Still, overall the 4K display, 3 screen setup and audio make for a better experience on the at games . I can’t say that for the HD version though. I literally wouldn’t take one of those for free

The flipper delay looks pretty noticeable on Addams's Family. I hope they get that fixed soon. Great video though, most thorough I've seen yet.

Adam's Family on the ALP4K is ignorance being bliss since it looks at best, 50% of the PC and VPX versions.

@KelsallsArcade The true potential seems to be going the OTG route if you want to leverage the 4K, and not be constrainted on what tables can be played. JMO

There are exciters in the apron (with the logo on it) that should also be giving you some haptic response. So when you mention you don’t feel any response from the table like on the 1Up, make sure your sound and haptic settings are correct. Of course, you will get better with the Arcade Control Panel, and even better with the SSF kit (which also includes some additional exciters and the subwoofer).

I didn’t know that the arcade panel would make a difference ? Does it have haptics in? Definitely looking to get the SSF kit. I do notice some vibration . I thought that was just bass from the speakers . Didn’t know there was anything else inside . Just know the feel was different to the solenoids firing on the 1up

@@KelsallsArcade Yes, there are two small exciters on either side of the Arcade Control Panel. I can’t remember if the base ALP4K has more than one, I’ll have to look when mine shows up today. And yes, the ALP4K has the solenoids for the flippers, but no other feedback. Not sure how that compares to what is in the 1Up, but it could just be that the thinner wood and smaller overall cabinet on the 1Up leads to a little more pronounced feedback.

@@RobStevens64 the 1up wood is about the same. It’s nothing to do with that, the 1up has physically moving solenoids that fire when the ball hits the bumpers to give a more realistic feel . Overall the experience is still better on the ALP4k but would be better if it had solenoids

@@KelsallsArcade Gotcha, but I don’t think the 1Up has any more solenoids, so that’s really just a software thing. They could fire the solenoids on a bumper hit if they chose to. That said, ATG may not do that specifically to show value for the SSF kit upgrade. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes from UK, but this was purchased at my place in Phoenix . Will probably get one in the UK too depending on price when it’s released over there. Keep an eye out on Liberty games . They tend to get stuff sooner in the UK

Put mine together today but don’t see a way to lower the flipper solenoid volume. Only on or off. Am I missing something? They are way too loud.

There was an option earlier on another video I saw from Wagner to lower it but after the update it changed it to off and on.

Got mine. It plays like shit. The ball stutters on the .magic pixel (MP) tables. The nudging on the Adam's family looks like an earth quake. While the nudging on the MP is subtle.

Enjoyed your review. I have some decisions to make as I already own 2 a1up pins and space is limited. I’m also worried that they may not get the sw licenses

SW licenses will be expensive, but they dont have to license art. Just the tables which they could sell for a premium - my guess is that it depends how many tables they sell as they will need to be able to sell enough software to cover the licensing cost.

@@KelsallsArcade the best way i can explain it is. there is a webpage if you want to call it that, its called discord, in discord people can create what is called channels, or to put another way basically chat rooms, the channels on discord are endless, but you need a link for a invite to get in that channel

I doubt it, I’ve regretted prior mods - like putting a switch in my 1up pin. I wish I’d kept stick so I can turn on and be playing without all the faff

Kelsalls!!! Dude! I'm now going to be able to live vicariously through you! Let me explain... I just got my Addams Family as well and have made some comments here and there that if I had the room, as well as funds, I would own several of these AtGames 4KP machines! I know I'm not going to get real pinball machines, but to have several themed Virtual Pinball machines in a row would make it feel like a right Pinball Parlor. The machines I would love to have are Peanuts and Attack From Mars. And yeah, an argument that some will come up is, "but each machine can play all the same games," but like you, that isn't the point. Having machines that represent a single game is important to some, like me. I CAN'T WAIT to see if you get some of these others! Great video! vgv

you do get feedback from the audio, which is pretty basey, but its not like the solenoids firing on the 1up

one thing I perhaps didn't say in the review is that IMO virtual pinball is never going to be as good as the real thing - this is a cheap way to get a "close" experience at home, but if you want to really feel it - get a stern

I’m just got in shock 😳 when you stated it - Because paying that higher of a price One ☝️ would believe it would knock AS GOOD OR BETTER KNOCKING as a 1UP! No solenoids, when hitting bumpers Is confusing 🫤 ATGAMES knew Arcade1up pins had them - You would think 💭 they diff would have added same solenoids or BETTER ONES?? This is what I liked about my Attack From Mars Arcade1up pinball is you Hear 👂 and Feel it hitting hard each bumper…. 👍

Just got my Addams family pinball today spent tonight putting it together hit the on switch and nothing. No lights nothing if I look from the back on the inside I could see red lights in the front (inside the machine with the back off) but that is it and when I press the red button on the side I hear, the things move whatever they call the exciters. I left them a ticket tonight but man if I have to return his giant machine, I’m going to be pissed. I took the wires and triple checked everything took the wise apart and back in and still nothing not even the topper lights up. What a headache if I have to pack this thing up and return it I won’t even want another one. I’ll just call it a day packing it back up to ship. It will be a nightmare. Wish me luck.

Good luck, that sucks , but definitely sounds like it maybe a loose connection so hope you can troubleshoot with atgame support and find the issue!

They want detailed video that I will send them now but trust me I went over all the connections I could see including the ones you have to do yourself multiple times and I don’t see anything loose. I’m just praying I don’t have to send that big thing back and take it apart.

The flipper lag makes Adams Family unplayable, even with enhancements off, I'm not able to enjoy the experience at all. The other tables perform well. Just my opinion. I hope AtGames and Zen gets this sorted out.

I think real pinball enthusiasts looking for perfection are going to be unhappy with the release. But the average gamer like me isn’t going to notice after a while . Like all products - I always say if you look for fault you’ll find it. I think my brain naturally try’s to look for the good . I’d make a terrible QA engineer 🤣🤣🤣

@@jwylovesknc to be honest, if you want a perfect vpin you need to pay way more than this. Just a good PC to power everything will cost you more than the at games. You can also plugin a PC to this . That said, if you want the perfect pinball experience - only a real stern will do IMO. Personally I don’t have that kind of cash to spare though
