My favorite thing about your channel is that all of you actually enjoy fishing and aren't just influencers doing it for the money. Nothing wrong with making money but its obvious when youtubers aren't really into fishing or whatever it may be.

I live on the Columbia in southern B.C., Sturgeon are protected here year round. I’ve accidentally hooked into ‘em trout fishing with my 6 pound flouro… guess who won that battle?

I love rock hounding. Where we fish for walleye we are close to a world renowned geod spot. I love finding artifacts, arrow heads, paintings, ghost towns

Always butter in pan. That’s the way they do it on grill tops at diners. 👍. The skin from sturgeon makes wonderfully beautiful backing for traditional bows!

the rock hounding, foraging and catch and cooks is all part of the adventure. I love to see it all my favorite thing to do is hit a creek and try and find gold and a fish too cook in the same day it, can a challenge.

I started fishing for sturgeon back in 1974 and I was hooked catching them. I only fish catch and release now. It all comes down to bait and scents to make a great day of multiple sturgeons to the boat.

A lead dropper line maybe 12" long mono can be broken off if necessary to reduce the probability of hanging up during the fight or just when reeling in.

They manage the sturgeon fishery like they managed the salmon fishery and look how the salmon have declined, they're real good at managing the forest too, look at all the old growth we have left.

Fish for White Sturgeon and Bottlenoise Sturgeon every weekend in BC-- our hooks are about 5x your size 😅😅 and we throw 16+ounce weight for our currents aha fishing for 11footers from shore

Try the smelts. You'll like them. Toss them in flour and fry them in oil and butter. They are great.

For little guys use salmon guts- they love guts; we use Salmon gills/ full heads for the larger ones

We do a garlic pepper lemon sturgeon on a Ceasar Salad. 🤤 It truly is a great diverse fish to eat.

Jordan’s Jaunt’s, Maybe go old school barrel swivel 10 pound test for breakaway on bottom eye. Dacron top with short 3 inch leader. Bigger fish will break as soon as they take off. Keep grinding kid.

Awesome to see you at big river, we eat there a couple times a month, that African peanut soup is the bomb. There and six street bistro in hood river are my two favorites in the gorge.

Been sturgeon fishing for 40 plus years. One of my favorite eating fish, try sturgeon butterfly fillets in beer batter. When I started fishing for them, you were able to keep the big ones, which are stories to themselves, carrying them back to our vehicles, and sharing the catch. Braid is good line but not shore fishing around the rocks.

I used to go to that very spot every new year's day...just to catch me some shakers! Then I'd head up the gorge a Lil further to a couple secret spots to catch me a keeper lol. Fun times! Beautiful 💜

I love it! I’ve fished for sturgeon my entire life, it’s extremely fun but can be a very frustrating fishery especially when the weather is cold. Used to be able to keep two fish a day with no annual limit and that might explain part of the reason why we don’t get to fish below the dam anymore. Hopefully you can get a Dino next time!

pickled herrring, squid, night crawlers are my favorites. I use chenks of womans nylon leggins to hold the bait. Grew up in Hood River.

I was rock hounding in southern Utah and woke up in a motel room my buddy was watching the television it was the morning of 9/11/2001 and I watched the second Jet hit the tower live and the rest is history

I love seeing the Addicted community all around Washington and the U.S.! One question, for the canned salmon, does Jordan do anything to it to preserve longer? I usually use a vacuum seal bags.

!!! I was thier when Bonilla dam sent a video feed camera to view what they thought to be a hole in the dam, to thosr amazement it was a massive ball of sturgeon in the thousands! We fished the mouth of tanner ceek fish hatchery and I hooked a 100 sturgeon!!! State Police filmed me the following weekend and the next weekend is shut the river down !!! 1 hooked a 25 ft sturgeon that famn near spooled me, and it's not NY fiah size progression but man next to me hollering out that the fish was 25ft long!

Fraser River sturgeon like oolichan , eulachon or candle fish. and ditch eels. Roe also or salmon parts.

Have had so much fun catching those dinosaurs over the years. Have never landed a keeper, though, but many of the ones I did were memorable. Way to stay fishy, Jordan!
