In this video, Part TWO, I make 3 framed fairy specimens and paint a Drafting desk that I 3D printed to add to my Professor / Adventurer office space.
This room will be filled with mystical and natural specimens which the professor collects himself from around the world on his adventures.
The desk had to be resized considerably to fit my space and to fit my small printing plate as the file holds both the chair and desk which can not be separated for printing individually.
I also resized the Skeleton down to fit into an acceptable miniature fairy size.
I made the box frames using 1.5mm plyboard which I cut on my laser cutter and stained with burnt umber acrylic paint, whilst the desk, chair and specimens were painted using Vallejo model paints.
To create the fairy wings, I printed dragonfly wings onto printable Acetate in various sizes.
To knock back the plastic shine of the wings and to seal in the paint and pastels, I gave the specimens a coat of MR Super Clear mat sealant.
