fun fact: Espresso external monitors are way overpriced and don't even go beyond 60hz. if you were watching this thinking you could get a high quality external monitor, go with something like UPERFECT instead. They have 17 inch monitors that go up to 144hz at 1440p, way better for SFF PC builds and Laptop enhancements

External touchscreen? that's an external monitor/display with touchscreen. For a sec a though the "touchscreen" will be applied on top of the MacBook screen. Transparent pass through.

Just buy ipad with sidecar and you have the same thing! +You pay less for ipad. +You have touchscreen device you can use independently. +Wireless connection. -Less resolution, but it depends on the model.

what's the use apart from touch screen you will use it a day or two just for fun, I believe it has no pen support too. There are already display tablets lke cintq or xppen that does the same touch screen along with high precision touch pen support.

Or just get a second monitor. Also a 17 inch monitor for 1000 dollars is absolutely absurd. I get it’s 4k and has a touchscreen but that seems quite gimmicky. When are you really using 4k on a secondary monitor.

@@caboose6411 the thing is the portability… and you can get a 13, 15 or 17 inch… with or without touch screen and it comes wit a super compact magnetic stand. Definitely a lot of pluses here. And the cheapest version is like $300 or $400 if I remember correctly. Personally I use an iPad because I already have one but if I didn’t… I’d definitely get this thing.

I don't think this comment makes much sense tbh 😂 And I don't even use Apple products. These are made for two different people. Someone who is looking for a good tablet, probably does not need an external monitor. Only someone who bought the tablet strictly for productivity in an office setting would benefit from this...
