Turning regular cruise off and turning on Adaptive cruise control does not effect regular cruise control. so you still have the option to run regular cruise or adaptive.

Thanks for the video. Very informative, but I can't seem to locate the spring latch when I am fishing around through the holes. The shift levers seem to be in the way. What kind of angle do you need to hit the latch? Straight in or angle toward front or back, up or down? I've seen other videos but they don't show this part of the job either...... must be a real pain.

Are you talking about the airbag release.. you just push straight in..make sure you feel it. Then push inward

If you have a long valve core remover for a tire valve stem, it makes it easier to not slip off

That depends what other features you have. The TRX comes with all the necessary hardware to just add it with the button and alpha OBD

It depends if you have the other necessary equipment.. like the forwards camera in the windshield. The TRX comes with all of the stuff needed on all models

Not in this truck but I added a camera in the other RAM rear view mirror on another video..works pretty good

Any idea if this would work on a 23' Limited 1500? I have Blindspot, and emergency braking, so I'm pretty sure I have the DASM.

So with having the tazer you don’t need a bypass OBD? Thought about the tazer for anti theft at least

Are you sure you need to turn off the regular cruise control? I watched the other diy install video on YT and he says you can use both regular cruise and adaptive. Good to know you don’t need to buy the bypass cable if you have the Tazer, thanks for the tip!

The regular cruise still works too.. under the Adaptive cruise control stop and go. So you can choose adaptive..or regular just like if it came with it

What year is your trx? And where did you get your switch? I have a 2023 trx, I bought the adaptive cruise control switch from a mopar parts site and they canceled my order because under my VIN it doesn’t show that my truck came with adaptive cruise

great video. i have a 2021 dodge ram 1500 laramie. i'm trying to add the adaptive cruise. everythhing went great except for the Security bypass cable from Kaodtech. the connectors are both white in color. (not green & white) one connector fits the the green can buss but the other connector does not fit the white can buss. i've tried to contact Kaodtech but haven't heard from them. just wondered if you have heard of any proble like this? with just the green can bus connected i can remove the old cruise but unable to ad the ACC..

@@vfr800fi07 got the bypass figured out. if you have time, the ACC is present but when i turn it on i get message that the forward radar sensor is in plant mode. any suggestions?

also i think this might be the most relevant: code c2206 These codes mean that there is communication codes present in either the ABS module or other modules on the vehicle, a bad ABS module or the wrong VIN is programed into the PCM.

If you have that windshield camera/radar that's under your review mirror I think that's all you need

No I did not. You can depending on your comfort level...but it doesn't have to

It is an app for your Android phone or device.. if you don't have that. Then you can use a laptop

The TRX comes with all the necessary equipment to just add it with the button. It all depends on what other options you have. Otherwise you'll need to buy a lot more equipment to get it to work

Why you turn off the regular cruise control? Dealer videos show the trucks with both!

It doesn't turn it off... It still works. It's just the options you have to pick for BOTH of them to work

What is the taser you have connected that you were referring to for the bypass?

It's called Tazer DT which is for the TRX TAZER has different types for other Chrysler products

So I have the bypass cable, the obd 2 mx + and the acc switch but it doesn't want to register, do I have to turn the truck on completely or just to the run switch

You would also need all the correct sensors for it to work as well.. the ALL TRX's come with everything needed except the actual button

The alpha OBD is a phone app.. the screen I'm doing it on is my phone
