I love how this guy always mentions the basics in every video. This is probably the 5th video where I see him going back to explaining how to form diatonic chords. I really appreciate teachers who don't just assume you already know something, but rather repeat it in case somebody still doesn't know it.

@@MusicMattersGB I also love it when someone still checks the comments on their old videos 😄Since you're obviously going to read this, I want to thank you for these lessons. I'm actually a guitarist, but I realized that if want to get a better understanding of music, I best start learning to play it on the keyboard. And it already proved to be true. 3 months of playing keyboard taught me more than 20 years of guitar. 😅

This is a truly magnificent method of teaching novices such as myself about melody to chords, or any subject for that matter. I've always said; if the teacher knows how to express their knowledge then the student/pupil usually gets it. That's just it, your method of expressing your know how is faultless. Not all teachers have this ability. Many thanks to you

I agree but I'm still not sure what he did at the end part when he played it the last time. It sounded like a completely different melody pretty much. I thought it was broken chords but then he was playing the chords on the right side of the piano and the melody was on the left and was different to what was before so I'm just not sure about that bit. What was that? The part where he mentions getting comfortable with it and it can sound good.
