What your doing is mega mate. Hit a spot with me when you mentioned your dad, mine was the reason I got into fishing abd like yours was happy with his cheap old tackle. he passed away a couple of years ago whilst we was fishing in France, went doing what he loved. Keep up the good work lad, your old man would be proud! 🎣

I was surprised at the price, that’s roughly equating to over £500 each, here in Poland there are still quite a few places where you can purchase what you catch which works out just under £4 a kilo. £44 for an 11 kilo fish, most good fisheries here have their own breeding programme as carp are part of the traditional 12 dinners for Xmas which keeps demand and the prices sensible

I can relate with you about losing your dad as I'm sure alot of people unfortunately have, my dad was my best friend and it looked the same for you, they gave us the best of everything while they where happy with the basic gear, such an amazing tribute to your dad, can't wait to see the constant progress on your lake

The part with you and your dad made me well up and brought back loads of memories of me and my dad when i was younger so can relate, its hard missing them even more so when your on the bank doing what they loved 😢 wish you and your fishery all the best, i have the catch app so will look out for bookings when they come up, big ups ❤️🎣

I was fortunate enough to go to vs fisheries 3 times to hand select the fish for our lake, it’s bloody brilliant, like being a kid in a sweet shop. Simon was laughing at us trying to pick them. They are all scaley bangers, and growing really well. Hope yours do as well, well done on your journey.

Ben ive watched this adentues from the very beginning, Your story is incredibly close to home after loosing my own father 14 years ago, Seeing your Mum join you in that photograph with "Big Kev," Genuinely put a solid lump in my throat... Some absolutely cracking fish gone in there Ben. You have done your father so proud in what you have achieved and created an ever lasting memory. I guessed £20K for those first 37 fish purely based on the millions of times that i have worked out how much it would cost to re stock my local syndicate water from VS Fisheries in recent months based on various stocking sizes and quantities 😂 Outstanding effort with the project 👌

Your a credit to your farther ❤️ he will be looking down with the cheesiest smile ever knowing his boys got his dream fishery I just hope it keeps getting better and better just like in every video honestly take my hat off to you I didn’t think you’d of sunken that much money into building it getting permission and all the other hoops and hurdles you had to go through honestly wish I could afford to come fish there one day but I totally understand the pricing is as fair as can be not only is it a one off lake with beautiful prestige fish but it’s your dream you don’t want any Joey coming on for a day session and ripping the fish apart honestly congratulations brother ❤️❤️ it shocked me massively how much the fish cost , I keep koi carp myself so I should of expected it but honestly don’t see anyone putting in the effort like you have to give it the best chance you’ve got , Ps get that fence out up all the best

Been watching from the start and I really want to book . . . Especially now that I seen about "big kev" I lost my dad in 2021 who always pushed me to fish because he new how happy it made and he was also named kev . . . . That alone the story and THAT fish have made me want to book this when possible thank you for sharing I swear I didn't shed a tear when I seen you and you mum with Big kev 😢❤🎉

Don't understand that you've stocked it, but haven't installed an otter fence yet, probably should have been the 1st thing you done. after filling it with water. Enjoyed watching all your vids and good luck with your venture.

Slam 30 4/5lb tench init 15 good size perch just to keep things balanced leave out the roach and that they will be to much hassle n work later on and possibly over run the place if left ….. I suggest digging a smaller pond on site somewhere so u can have a sliver lake for kids to get in to the sport …. Jobs a good one for 10 years until maintenance needs carrying out

Perch are a predator fish so would want to hold of a few years and let the fish spawn before introducing them if not adding and silvers

I have loved watching your journey with the lake build and had hoped to one day book up and fish but at £900 for a weekend im afraid you have priced me well out as at least double the price of other exclusive fisheries i have been too that offer the same stamp of fish and accomodation! If you get fully booked at those prices i will be very surprised

Thats for three nights / 4 days. Weekends will be less. Seeing what happens, will obviously lower if we have too! But we don’t want it booked up constantly and want to give the fish a chance to rest etc. Also haven’t showed everyone the lodge yet! Whole project has cost as much as a 4 bed house 😱

Mate, you've got osme amazing fish there, VS are just an amazing breeder of carp. I've got some in my mere garden pond. I recently had a lone C4 (13.5lbs) common delivered by Simon himself a few weeks ago, and it was just an excellent experience meeting him and chatting carp. Worth every penny!
