What is your hardware setup? Mine couldn't boot and I was wondering if my system does not meet the requirements

I have eve-ng community 2.0.3-110 installed on bare metal... Dell PowerEdge R640 32 cores 256 GB RAM ...runs great I have another newer eve-ng community version installed on a different server in a vm and i don't like the way it runs at all... very sluggish, has some issues

hmmm, did you connect the PFE and RE with em1/int ? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oMCJaK2ZqtW9aac.html show chassis fpc ^ does it say slot 0 online/testing? show interfaces terse media | grep ^xe ^ does it show some xe-0/0/x interfaces listed ?

@@aarontechtalk Thank you for your reply. Yes, I connected PFE and RE with em1/int. "show chassis fpc" shows empty. "show interfaces terse media | grep ^xe" doesn't show anything but in the default config, I see xe interfaces are configured as default configuration. I am using the version 19.4R.1.10 and the model is vqfx-10000.

can you watch the console bootup process of both the PFE and RE ? if so, it doesn't seem like the PFE is being seen. do you have something like this in your RE config? ... set interfaces em1 unit 0 family inet address 169.254.0.2/24

It appears that the vMX evaluation is no longer available. However, try Juniper vLabs for vMX and other platform experience. (vSRX, vQFX). Also, I'm seeing this other link that shows vJunos-Evolved and vJunos-Switch (which I understand is vEX) jlabs.juniper.net/vlabs/ www.juniper.net/us/en/dm/vjunos-labs.html support.juniper.net/support/downloads/?p=vmx-evaluation

Right, I don't think you can download it anymore for evaluation. Try GNS3 labs, Juniper vLabs, and also CloudMyLab. You might be able to get some hands-on with vMX that way.
