A few things to note: 1. You can use Wallpaper engine to sync razer synapse and ICue products. The effects are more limited, but your RGB will sync with animated wallpapers. 2. For products that won’t sync, you can also use Jacknet RGB sync though it isn’t as good as native. My setup for software is synapse for Nanoleaf and some of my Razer stuff. ICue for some Corsair items and my Asus motherboard. In Jacknet, I have my RGB ram with the control LEDs set to a non-visible part of my Corsair RGB strip. Then all of it is controlled by wallpaper engine. I would recommend sticking to one all-inclusive ecosystem, but it is possible to have everything under one software, like ICue or synapse.

I'm in the process of building a PC, using asus mobo and torn between cooler master argb vs corsiar argb. Corsiar much more expensive but I know it will work well since you mentioned it. My questions is can you control the fan rgb with both asus auru sync and corsair controller?

So some hubs go to a usb slot on your motherboard, not the argb slot? Is this preferred? And if I want to add up to 12 argb devices to a build can you suggest some good hubs to use? Great video I have watched loads of videos on this recently and yours was the 1st to mention hubs going to usb, I have a phanteks g360a on the way so 3 argb fans there, a argb case strip, MSI aio cooler with argb and 4 mastercooler halo 120s, and would love to add the Lian-li strimmer cables too

Wish I had this video when I built my PC last year. It's silly how complicated getting RGB to work. I never thought that my primary concern should be will my motherboard be compatible with the rgb fans and the rgb on the Ram and GPU. Far too much time wasted trying to get everything working together. Thanks for the video, Ill be checking this again when I build my next pc

I have seen argb fans work in series...using Polychrome (which I have, B550M/ac). What does that take? Like "stack"...the single light would 'travel' through all the fans and start stacking the last fan in line, then the next. If one fan had 6 lights and you add another it saw a series of 12 lights etc. I have 6 Sickleflow argb fans, 3 pin with pigtails, chained together. They all do the same thing at the same time. 6 sets of 6 lights, rather than work as 36 lights in a row.

I would love you to include information on how many leds does a mobo header usually support, how many leds does a port in a controller or hub support. A how to daisy chain guide or do you really need an argb hub or do you need that many?

Will the CoolerMaster ARGB Controller A1 support all branded ARGB devices like Deepcool L360 A-RGB AIO and CF120 and CRF120Plus fans and allow to change brightness and individual LED Control? I know the Razer chroma does support al brands but it costs $80 USD in India and the Cooler Master A1 one costs 30USD

Or can I only use of the the connectors on my board at a time ?

PLEASE HELP me figure out my fans. I have a skytech archangel 3.0. which is in a thermaltake h200 snow chassis. Skytech already had 3 fans with argb/rgb lighting of some sorts. Im struggling to figure out the type of fan as there is a Skytech logo not a brand and how to add 3 more fans in sync. The current fans with lights are connected daisy chain via sata with a chassis button to operate the light settings. Me being new to this stuff, I would like to simply add 3 new fans to the daisy chain and still just operate the light mode via chassis button. The confusing part is they appear to be 4 pin but still have more capabilities then just being solid color or flashing. My mobo is a gigabyte b560 ds3h ac.

Then the case fan controller also would ? I’m very lost

Maybe a stupid question, but is the software based on the motherboard or the fans? For example if I have an MSI motherboard with Corsair fans, would I have to use MSI software to control it?
@jeremiegrund

Corsair doesn’t use standard RGB headers that I’m aware of so you wouldn’t be able to plug them into the motherboard. Anything plugged into motherboard RGB headers would/could be controlled by that software

When you use splitters for fans or RGB, what is the max number of components you should chain into a single header?
@ShaneMcGrath.
@ShaneMcGrath. 3 жыл бұрын
Too difficult to answer, Because it is going to vary so much. But here is my 2 cents. lol Not sure about recent MB's but some of the top ASUS boards last year were 120 LED's per header, May be more now on latest MB's. So then you have to look at what RGB fans you are going for, Massive variation anywhere from 7-54 LED's per fan and then add them up. Also need to consider power, Shouldn't really daisy chain more than 3 fans per header, Best to get a powered SATA USB hub that way you can plug say 5 of the 32 LED fans into it and if you need more fans get a second hub and daisy chain the first hub to the second. My next build I will need 2 hubs as I intend to run 9 ARGB fans, Going with the Riing Duo's and led strip or two, If you were to go with the Thermaltake Riing Quads you may even need 3 hubs seeing as each fan has 54 LED's. It's a nightmare trying to work it all out and have it all addressable and sync to one another, Most of the other tech channels are cheating and haven't wired RGB correctly, They only show the standard rainbow mode when they show fans running, That will work without much effort as long as you have enough power, Different story if you want to program the fans for certain effects then it needs to be wired correctly and have the right updated firmware and software, Otherwise you will only get the pre set rainbow effect that some other channels show.

Gigabyte's RGB Fusion 2 software is a cancer. Constantly wakes my computer up from sleep mode and would hijack my Corsair ram, overwriting the effects I'd set up in iCUE. End of the day, use it to pick a color (or completely shut off in my case) your mobo RGB, then uninstall that shit.
