NOTE: These comments are replies to *MEGAN* who has deleted her replies. *This isn’t about Talia’s money or her as a person.* This is about how excessive videos are wasteful. I haven’t replied in about 2 years, but I’ll leave the comments for the info. Read it, don’t. Just be nicer to each other, eh? But it’s not old or expired. She says she bought it for the video. She shows the lipgloss package, and cuts up ~20 new lipsticks from AliExpress (it’s a set) for the lipstick slime. The only one she said used old products was the one with blush, eyeshadow primer and foundation.

Meghan not the point. It’s a bunch of plastic waste that was used for no reason for 15 seconds of video footage that wasn’t that interesting; and could have been just as effectively demonstrated with much less. Next time someone is trying to guilt you for using a plastic straw, remember that every one of those lipsticks is a plastic tube, surrounded by another plastic tube, surrounded by another plastic tube, and it all went in the trash as soon as this video was done.

Meghan lipstick tubes (and most cosmetic packaging in general) are not recyclable. Even if you put it in your recycle bin; it gets sorted out and thrown in the trash. We haven’t even started talking about the fact that “slime” is a ball of polymer that isn’t biodegrading any time soon and that glitter are chunks of plastic that are difficult to filter out of water; but hey, I get that people like this stuff. There is just no need to be unnecessarily wasteful for a video clip you know isn’t going to work.
