I added factory tow hooks to the front of my 2007 Ranger Sport 2wd. You can too!

I have a 4x4 Sport, and yes they do mount to that crossmember.

Appreciate the In-depth video! I've got a 05 2wd Edge that I regularly get stuck and I'm tired of bending my grille guard out of wack every other day to get pulled out, your video really eased my worries about trying to put tow hooks on it

Ya had to go and do that lol thinkin might pull mine off and repaint em.looks good.my 01 4.0 4x4 edge had them stock Startin to look good need to tint the windows though lol

I think I'm gonna have to do mine red too. I'm stuck in a few months of snow and nastiness up here in Ontario so mods & videos for the 4x4 Ranger are slow, but I have some stuff coming. Also saved a pile on insurance this year so it looks like the lift and tires will likely happen before I thought they would. Also yeah, my tow hooks do mount to that crossmember on the 4x4 sport. Maybe don't hang the entire truck in the air off those hooks. :) Though at that point I think those random bolts will shear off and your hooks will become missiles anyway. Shhhh...We all do this for show anywho.

I think he was concerned the cross member was undersized for the potential load, not the mounting point.

I also have a 07 Ford Ranger Sport Black .I did install some tow hooks on my truck holes are already pre-drill from the factory.

Yeah good excited when I saw your video for your 02 and checked my truck only to be disappointed that the holes weren't drilled. Also I think you mentioned that you have to remove the bumper to replace the fog light housing. It something I need to do and would suck if I had to remove the bumper

I have a 2004 Edge 4x4 and I liked to never got the bolts out.Passenger side was the worst.Not a project I want to tackle again.

My 2004, 2009 and 2011 2wd Rangers don’t have that frame crossmember that that style of tow hook bolt to.

Only the Edge or Sport 2wd would because they are on the 4x4 frame.

That cross member will not hold up to towing. Tow hooks need to go on the frame ends.

This is the factory location. The mounting holes are already present. The Sport and Edge frame is the same as the 4x4.
