I remember a fight in my high school with his exact description. 2 people rolling on the ground, aggressively hugging, It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. No one was even trying to get them to stop except for the school guards cuz they were blocking the gate, everyone else was laughing their asses off.

Yeah, but it's a remake of a film starring the actress playing Addison's mom in Cameron's role. I mean look at her now. Now picture her as 20 years old. Not necessarily a ''too loser-y'' type either... Still, I feel like they overdid it with Cameron's muscles. I mean, that goes beyond naturally good looks. He'd need to work out every day for hours to look like that.

@@AlirioAguero2 True, but there is a slight difference between the male and female "ugly/fat" "loser/unpopular kid" characters in these types of movies. Usually the female characters will still be played by conventionally attractive actresses, just decked out in glasses, frumpy/"unfashionable" clothing and given a ponytail or "weird" hairstyle (or they're not actually overweight) whereas there's a bit more leeway, from what I've seen, with male characters, who are more likely to actually be played by overweight or less "conventionally handsome" actors. So it's surprising that they didn't do that in this movie too.

To me, one of the most impressive feats in modern movies is when they get online culture right. Because oh god, are film writers terrible in that field. I'm talking about perfect grammar in texting, outdated slang, cut-scenes in recorded clips and absolutely bizarre reactions to things. Seriously, who thought that 'Bubble Girl' thing was a good idea? tbf about Cams muscles, there was a girl in my class at upper secondary high school who took care of horses and she was seriously muscular. She was really self concious about it, but she was more bulky than ripped (she did have visible abs though). When she told me she felt bad about it, I was in shock. She looked amazing! But yeah, all that shoveling hay and horse poop does help to build muscles.

As someone who actually works as a farm hand at a stable, part of our training is in martial arts. Horses are big animals so we work out so we can absolutely annihilate them in karate, judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu if it comes to it. We are also taught how to do the perfect Debbie Ryan smirk to catch them off guard and stun them into submission

the best bad movie i’ve ever seen is called “Yakuza apocalypse.” my homie and i picked it up at dollar tree and now it’s my most prized possession, it’s about the Yakuza who are also vampires and then like 20 more plots happen one by one. there is so much just crammed into one movie that the apocalypse part is barely mentioned and totally avoidable. please for the love of god look this up it’s worth it.

One of the biggest problems I have with live action movies that are supposed to be in a high school setting with teenagers/young adults is that most of the time they never cast actual teenagers or young adults or people that look younger everyone always looks like they're like 25 to 30 and look like they should be in an office posting awful memes and not talking about the latest scandal or sex they had with someone. Like only two minutes into this video Jordan looks like he's 30. Not like 19 or 20 or however old there supposed to be.

Which is why I find movies like these that are meant to take place in a high school or have a cast of teenage characters just unrealistic. In the movie they're supposed to be a "typical normal teenager" but yet all of them fit the beauty standard and look like models and look like they're 20 or older and act nothing like actual teenagers. It would make more sense if they said they were in college and were young adults then saying they're teenagers in high school since most teenagers don't act like this or look like this.

Fun fact: the location where they shot that weird train station scene was actually a covid vaccination spot - one of the largest ones that was operational in LA at the time. The on location production forced the clinic to close down for a week and put a massive dent in the vaccine rollout for LA for a week. So not only is this film bad, it actively endangered people :)

17:46 what confuses me is that Cam does moves you would learn in a martial arts course, like his stance and seeing Jordan's punch coming because he doesn't hide it (though the knee-kick is moreso self defense because the way I learned, strikes below the waist aren't considered real techniques)... but then there's that goofy ass walk right after where Cam isn't balanced at all and his arms arent high enough AND are just swaying about, so they dont protect his had or chest. The actor who plays Cam is Tanner Buchanan. He also plays Robby Keene in the tv show Cobra Kai, which is based off the Karate Kid movies from the 80s. That explains why he whipped out some karate moves during the fight

Yeah, cause anti-social people means people that are contrary to the laws and customs of society, in a way that causes annoyance and disapproval in others so they are right.

@@nickmichos I think anti-social is wrongly placed in this whole context. What the movie and characters have in mind is reserved INTROVERTS, not anti-social as in sociopaths. Did the guy on the movie ever did anything a sociopath would do? Nah fam. Because they unfortunately mix the two terms. You are one of the people Sir Greg was talkin about anyway so...

@@nickmichos I guess that’s fair, I kinda group them up in the same category usually. I do agree social interaction is important but sometimes people act being an introvert is unhealthy, and it really bothers me. I just enjoy being alone which I think is great considering some people will flip out without social interaction.

@Sir Greg I agree with you there is nothing bad with being an introvert; I don't believe in those terms (introverts and extroverts) because of my personal experience I was always more of an introvert same goes for my circle of friends only one of us was an extrovert. When I started hanging out with more people and getting out of my comfort zone (with the help of my extrovert friend) I stopped being so shy and I also improved my social skills. I still want to be alone sometimes but now I feel comfortable meeting new people when I feel like it. That is not to say that I don't respect people that are introverts and want to keep to themselves I just think that we can improve ourselves and learn to be more social when we want to.

me and my friend group were having a sleepover and saw this movie on netflix and were like “got nothing else to do” and watched it, none of us ate ever getting that time back
