As a person who has adhd, I really want to start and finish watching your videos because titles are sooo me, but guess what? I have adhd and it's like a torture for me to finish 1 hour long or 2 hour long videos.

Try to watch at higher speed like x1. 5 for just the audio and I recommend doing something not very distracting while listening . Like exercises or cleaning your room.

I listen to them in the car. And I remember that the first 8min is intro and the last 15 is Q&A. If I find it interesting, I look at the slides later.😊

Me too I speed them up, most talk too slow for me to concentrate. Wish I could do that in the real world too.

FYI: this is 80% - 90% focused on children. Probably should be re-titled.

I’d like to add that even though RLS was listed as a primary sleep disorder that, according to Johns Hopkins “Neurologists have long believed RLS is related to a dysfunction in the way the brain uses the neurotransmitter dopamine, a chemical used by brain cells to communicate and produce smooth, purposeful muscle activity and movement.” So even though it is listed as a primary sleep disorder, both RLS and ADHD seem to stem from issues with them neurotransmitter dopamine.

Adhd people are like 4 hours behind normal people’s schedules. Before I was ever diagnosed and on meds, I was an insomniac. Since birth really. I slept in my parents bed until I was nearly 12 because my father worked overnights. My mom would wind up moving to the sofa because I would beat her up in kids sleep, I was always horrendous to wake up ass well, and even still I am not a happy morning person. The adderall doesn’t seem to even be a variable because I will often take my meds, and fall asleep.

Amphetamines cause insomnia for me, whereas MPH (ritalin) knocks me out (to sleep) hard and then I feel very refreshed after sleeping.

All ADD’ers out there. Do what you love and stop conforming to people’s standards beyond the bare minimum. Try limiting or coming off your medications. Seek some novelty every two three days. Meditate a few times a week. Don’t worry if you miss some days here and there. Finding motivation to get some exercise 2-3 days a week isn’t as hard as it sounds. And my fav. Waking up early before sunrise and engaging in prayer will get your brain to perform at it’s peak all day but remember to sleep on time to repeat the next day. And by peak performance, I mean you will beat the hell out of the neurotypicals.

I am an adult with ADHD and I sleep better on amphetamines. I had observed this when I had done drugs illicitly before my diagnosis. I was never interested in stimulants because they made me too comfortable. Years later I was diagnosed. Sleeping is not affected, and my night owl tendencies take over once the drug is no longer in effect.
