A few years ago, I noticed that AB diamonds were becoming extremely popular, and the number of colours being offered was growing quickly. So way back then, I just bit the bullet and put them in photo boxes like I do with my regular diamonds, by DMC number. And boy am I glad I did, because now I have so many and I’ve had to divide them into squares and rounds like my regular diamonds. If I want to add some to a painting, I look at the painting and see what I might want, then check my spare AB log book, and take them then. That way, I don’t have to look through everything I don’t want, to get the ones I do want. And it’s a system that I don’t think I will need to change, just like the regular diamond storage. I just have a “catch all” box for my specials and glow drills, which I rarely use or substitute on a painting. That’s what works for me.

This is going to work perfectly for you to be able to have a Birds Eye view so to speak of all the colors available. When I am making bling up decisions I don’t so much focus on the dmc numbers. The coating changes things a lot so often times I pick a different number because it’s closer to the shade that I’m after replacing. For this reason I store my abs and specialty diamonds in Elizabeth ward trays. Last year I discovered the towers that hold the trays and I decided to move everything in to the 80 count trays. My collection has grown and now I need to expand. I am putting the 12 tray tower on my wish list for Mothers day or my birthday. It will be so fun to fill them up!

My personal opinion would be to do a photo box for spare overflow abs/special drills and my reasoning for that would be that ur collection is already growing and since it’s a long term hobby and business/ channel where u receive promotional items I assume ur collection naturally will grow… but I am a believer of doing what makes u happy and how u wanna do things so whatever u choose is great… I’m so happy to be along for the journey. For me I store my “special” square diamonds in my fourth box of square extras and the same with “special” round diamonds with my extra round drills. It saves room and I don’t have to keep another box when I already have 8 total boxes.

Looks a fab idea, but not sure about having the little box if you don’t worry about the numbers matching how about keeping all the abs in the big box so you have them all together and then when your doing your little paintings you could keep the big box with your paint gems and then if you fancy changing more colours you have them all at hand 😊 thanks for all your fab ideas keeps us all on our toes ❤

I don't do as many Paintgem minis as you do, so I think this set up will work for uou 😊 But for me those little pots would drive me crazy 😂🥰💚

I made a little half box for cover paper the weekend 😂 I was buying too many to not have somewhere to organise them

Rainbow order is red orange yellow green blue indigo violet. I have seen people put pink in front of red.

I bought both sets of round ABs from Fansells. Less than £15 for both sets 70 bags total. I have set them up on a smaller photo box in DMC code. Fantastic quality and great range of colours.

Wow Rebecca great minds thnk alike, I also bought Jay all the square Ab's from fansells for Xmas, and over the weekend I put them into the Artdot ticktac storage for him but he wanted to keep DAC and DAS on your bookrings so he has them separate x

I have all my special crystal drills in those small bottles. They are in a drawer along with many packets of squares special drills from DAC that I haven't yet put on the rings.

I'm thinking how pretty those abs look in the jars. It will be easier to see them and use them, but I don't know if it's a long term solution. I don't buy abs anymore and I have mine stored in 2 Craftmates binders. I don't like them in the majority of paintings I have. But they are really pretty. I'm all caught up with half watched videos. Now I have to go back and fill in the blanks. Thank you so much for sharing!

I use Elizabeth ward storage for my abs as of now I have 4each square and round I keep separate I started another one for sparklers all the others I put in photo boxes and all inventory in my binder

What a lovely array of AB diamonds... such beautiful colors! Might I offer a suggestion? Rather than go horizontally with your sorting, go vertically instead in a "snake-like" fashion (go down a column, then over and up the next column) so that your colors flow more like a rainbow. Caffeine to someone that has adha is the reverse . Instead of giving you energy it helps to slow you down . My niece has it and she couldn't figure out why she felt too relaxed when drinking coffee . I of course didn't tell her . I know it's kind of mean but , sometimes it can get in people's nerves like mine lol .

Think the full AB was from cateared as I loved it so remembered it,unless you have done another since but I watch all your vids lol ❤

I was thinking instead of putting the labels on the side of the bottles you could put them on the bottom. Since the case is clear you could just flip the whole case over and look at the numbers that way. And the Tops are still clear to have a visual match.

Hi love diamond painting and recently got my box off diamond paintings and toolbox out and had an incomplete canvas only to find the stickiness has gone so cant complete it what should i do should i sort out the leftover diamonds for spare storage or try completing the kit
