I didn't like President Bush when he was in the office, but as soon as HH the DalaiLama said that he liked Bush my entire viewpoint changed also. So, now President Bush is one of my favorite presidents, and I am sure rest of Tibetans feel that way. Long Live HHDL.

I never liked Bush's policies, however as a man, I always liked him. He comes across as a really laid back, friendly guy.

Essence of life has been most understood by the ones who remain grounded despite whatever life throws at them, Dalai lama and buddhist philoshpies are totally diffrent take on life, when you know it stemmed from a Prince going into bhikshu life to really come to understand lifecycle, i mean no offense to wealth more so to new old middle east or their excess that is fine by their temperaments also, but we all are diffrent and our thinking dictates our motives and life and what we want to do either by our resources or wealth.

Certain resources are needed for sustainable life, and most of it stems from either your efforts and certain are handed over, like inheritances bussinesses legacies to carry on with, but most important point in all of this lifespan is what do you do with all the resources after you have satiated your needs including wants, do you feel your social responsibilities what are they? do you even feel them? Or till now none of wealth seems to have done anything for anybody that is really visible, some are in smaller efforts sure, but not in bigger scales, then comes your governments and their way of functioning, which need huge changes hugemeans radical 360 turns of doing things, rethinking reforming and as of today you have modern Tech is there to help you streamline everything

I'm a buddhist, my first teacher was the Dalai Lama, even I worked for the tibetan cause for long time, even went to Tibet at least 4 to 5 times. Now I have my doubts and regrets seeing Him, being with a war criminal who had killed millions of people. How can be someone like the dalai Lama can say a war criminal, a bucher, say MY friend.

Well, because even our friends can make mistakes. HHDL has said that some of Pres Bush's policies were wrong. You can tell your friend that some things they do are wrong. But that doesn't mean they are not your friend. For example, I have two friends whose sons committed murder. As mothers, they still love their sons. They do not think that what their sons did was right, but they still love them anyway. They remember all the other good things their sons did, and are, as well. This is important to remember, especially for Buddhists. We judge actions, not people. As the famous Lojong verse says from 7 Point Mind Training: "Banish all blames to the single source (i.e. self-cherishing). Towards all beings, contemplate their great kindness."

But do not lose objectivity even trying to understand, i have no idea what dalai lama has just said , butt in overall picture of world , do not feel jealouse or envious of others good fortunes or them enjoying it, as i pointed out, its normal for people of all layers to be ignorant and not understand each other, based on diffrent awareness levels, for eg; my temperament always been that instead of spending foolish amounts on indulgences i woyld spend tgat in taking children, families out of stress, difficulties which i was doing in mumbai, or clean up areas from filth grime and make places beautiful, spruce up shanties chawls, make roofs homes of villages left behind beautiful, bring water resources to them again this my temperament, and that is how i intend to work with my resources, others having temperaments of palaces grandeurs, indulgences is also ok, its been with human race since long, look around in history and see all of them built Egypt pharoahs to Europeon to asian human beings have done that, so if modern ones are doing it same, its ok, nothing to get angry fussy envious about it, let them enjoy their fortunes. My point out was only about foolish aspect of it, patronise living artists not dead ones and out of all your indulgences spare some for others or your surroundings your city your environment your cities issues.

He is a CIA asset, he was officially on their payroll for more then 20 years. When you take millions from CIA you go wherever they tell you to go and say whatever they want you to say. Also, it doesn't hurt that CIA and American politics towards the China is in alignment with his own, so they have a lot of mutual interests as well.
