Never would I confuse your paint with DB paint. That being said, there is no paint that could even get close to your paint product. The only wish I have is it would be more easily available. With shipping costs which for me is more expensive then the paint. So unfortunately I have had to scale back on projects, and I am not a reseller, it’s all for myself or gifts. I truly appreciate you and your product!

You're so right that people don't read anything anymore. They just jump on their soapbox, spouting outright lies, wanting to destroy other people's livelihoods, all because they jumped to outrageous conclusions without doing any research or asking any questions. It's so infuriating and so unnecessary. It's sad because I don't know how this is ever going to change.

At the very least, do some research- I just had to turn on KZfaq and knew the actual story - I’m surprised people in the industry wouldn’t know more than a rando like me. I almost cried when you started painting over that beautiful dresser. The end result is awesome-completely different and I guess that was the whole point! Completely different vibe❤️ It was so great to see everyone, your Dad is an amazing guy! And those Turkish eggs made my mouth water...going to have to look up that recipe. And the dumpster finds--whaaaat?!?! That piece of wood with the shaped dowels sticking out is a shaker style hanging rack. You hang it horizontally. Towels, purses, belts, ties, scarves, bundles of flowers to dry, etc. I LOvE it!

As soon as they hear a parcel bit of info, they run with it without making sure they are correct . I have experienced being on the wrong end of a lie, and it really hurts. I have probably 6-7 brands of paint and your paint is BAR NONE the EASIEST & NIcest to work with. I absolutely love it! It goes a long way, isn't watery & is very forgiving. DIY is the leader.

I have tried other clay based paints-more in conjunction with DIY paint-and I can say with conviction that the consistency is different. DIY paint is the closest thing I can get to fine art paint that is water activated. I know the distinction between diy paint and the other company. I take no issue in endorsing DIY paint. I do not have a diy paint retailer near me, and sometimes out of necessity I will go to get the finish or color I need. Honestly, it’s worth waiting for my shipping. I know your stressing, but I offer positive-promos of your paint.

I have absolutely no DIY retailers near me 😭 makes me sad. I will take a trip soon to Moms. Theres 2 retailers about an hour away from her. Can't wait to try DIY paint. Im over my current paint when the last couple expensive purchases all the products was awful 😖.

I started my furniture business using DIY paint and never looked back. I fell in love with this paint and all that could be achieved with it. The fact that it is non toxic and incredibly versatile makes it the perfect paint. I have used other brands but nothing compares to DIY. Love you Debi and all you have done for the paint world. Having met you in person a few times now it’s easy to see just how genuine you are. You have not let your incredible success change who you are.

I have never understood why that other db is so popular. I encourage everyone who paints to use DIY. It’s apples and oranges. Or orange flavored koolaid. I guess I’ve been out of the loop. Sorry to hear that but it didn’t affect me any. I have been dreaming of the day that I could drive an hour up the road to Edmond Oklahoma specifically to go to the Painted Tree JUST so I can buy my own DIY paint! And I finally did! When I got there I was so happy and excited I had that pain in my stomach and in my throat like I was gonna cry! I know it’s ridiculous but I couldn’t wait any longer. I have two brushes, two containers of DIY paint, big top, Wax, and of course I had to get some of your brush cleaner! And I’ll be back!

I live in Canada, and there are no retailers anywhere . I visited florida this fall and drove an hour away to find your paint. I bought several small jars. Unfortunately they only carried a few colours... I have asked my sister to bring me back some more colours of your DIY paint when she gets back to Canada!

Believe in yourself. I've been painting my furniture since I was 12 years old in the old style of eastern European Bohemians, Belle Epoch, Baroque and reproduced the impressionjsts. My grandmother had a fit when she walked into my bedroom painted floor to ceiling like a gypsy wagon. My grandfather saw it and asked me to paint his study just like it. This video is so informative! I love your expertise and non pretense about your paint and your talent for painting! I too, love color and your mixes are so beautiful. I have been a painter and crafter most of my life so we do have a lot in common. The fact that I am a lot older than you( probably 30 plus years- and of your dad’s generation!) and have a bookcase full of paint doesn’t make me any better than you. Just not as free as I’d like to be. If I painted furniture like you, it would never sell in any of my booths here in the upper Midwest. South central Wisconsin is too conservative/old-fashioned! I take that back- the onlys that would like it are the college kids and they can’t afford it! I also don’t have a studio so paint in my garage in the warm weather. It’s too darn cold out there from October to May. I can’t afford to rent workspace on my pension! But I love your videos and your demonstrations. Because of my age and I don’t travel too far from home, we will probably never meet, unless you come to visit me! I feel like we are old friends when I watch you and your family. The pigment and clay are amazing! I watched one of your videos a few years ago telling the story of how you started your paint company a nd would not settle for anything but quality . That is how your company started and has been so successful. The people that have believed the misinformation have evidently not followed you all of these years.
