Addressing The Worst Turn Signal Stalk On The VB WRX - What Was Subaru Thinking?

Using your indicator on the 2022+ VB WRX is an inconvenience. More often than not you accidentally signal left or right on the highway, and it becomes a nuisance. Today I try fixing this problem on my 2023 Subaru WRX and see if there's a solution for the industry's worst turn signal stock.

It was such an unnecessary change. I hate how when you manually cancel the blinker it's all too easy to hit the opposite direction. It's not a motorcycle, there was no need to make the stalk constantly return to center. I don't mind the three blink option because you don't have to shut it off for lane changes.

I've never had a problem with the blinkers on the WRX but there is probably a couple of reasons for that. Firstly my car previous to this was a Commodore (GM) that had the same lane change feature except that it flashed 5 times. The other is that our cars (AUS) come with the stalk on the right hand side so it's more natural for the right handers (I always struggle with euro cars and trucks). I love the lane change feature and am leaving it on.

Definitely a miss. Did Subaru not see other companies fails with this?

Idk why Subaru didn't just use the same stalk they have in all their other vehicles. Out of all the features they could make unique to the WRX/BRZ, they chose the most obscure thing lol
