This song hits me so deep. I’ll never forget my mom watching the 2011 Grammys and this song came on and we were both so in awe… I wish she was alive to see how much Adele has grown 🥺

I want to thank Adele for this song. This song somehow found its way into my life at the most perfect time. I was going after a woman who really wasn't the one. She had her own life that she was trying to live, a life that did not coincide with mine. I do not believe she cared for who I was, nor saw who exactly I was. Little did I know, after I stopped pursuing this woman, some other amazing person stepped into my life and has truly blessed me. She loves me unconditionally and I connect so much with her. I gave up instead of chasing pavements, and found myself on the horizon. To everyone, always remember to leave those toxic pursuits. There will always be something better beyond. You may not see it at the time, but you must trust that everything will be ok.

the reason why i cant get over with this song is because of the meaning of chasing pavemeents my friend told me. I lost my big sister to domestic violence some years back now. She was such a beautiful person and a wonderful mother. She was my music bestie, and I know how much Adele's music meant to her. Every time I listen to her music it's like Makaila is right there with me and I get all choked up. It's the most bittersweet feeling I've yet encountered in my 36 years.

This is my favourite Adele song. Not her very popular ones like Hello, Easy on me, etc but this one. There is something so captivating to me about this simple song. This is my first time watching the music video. I always only heard this on Spotify. Even the music video was so wonderful. The choreography was really graceful. I always hesitated to look up the meaning of the song. If I knew the meaning, maybe I won't like it like I used to before. For now I just feel the music and it means what I want it to mean. But I have decided that I will not do that anymore. I am going to understand this from her perspective. No more putting it off. Thank you Adele.

I think of this song randomly all the time and it's one of the ear worms I don't mind. I remember when it came out, the music video would play on vh1 at maybe 11 at night when I woke up on the couch. My sister liked to hog the TV watching her mtv shows so I would just hang out. The only time I would get any TV was late at night and the music channels only ever caught my eye.
