tazlina77 swearing is more accepted with in the British culture .I'm British and even the word cu#nt is used like it's not that bad but being raised in Canada I barely hear that word and cringe when it's said lol...kinda has a different meaning.But it's funny how swear words just flow out like any other ordinary word in my other family members who live over there and here I get embarassed or feel bad when I do it .lol. Also many say it makes one appear more honest in certain situations.Actually some are taught to purposely throw in a swear word or two when giving a speech to gain trust and make others more at ease when they are trying to sell something or gain trust of others.I learnt this in a psychology class.Here's a link about what I mean.Anyways ...I just seen your comment and wanted to comment.😊 www.independent.co.uk/life-style/swear-wearing-honesty-lie-more-honest-facebook-psychology-cambride-university-maastricht-hong-kong-a7512601.html

Adele is the *definition* of a class act so her swearing is just a part of her fun persona, btw she doesn't swear like a truck driver, but like a british girl, which she is. No that's not it. it's not that she isnt worthy or doesnt feel deserving, but you have to understand how much Beyonce's music has impacted her life. She felt that Lemonade was more deserving as an album, not that Beyonce is just better full stop. She literally said that she voted for lemonade and thought this was Beyonce's year to win. She's not doubting herself. She just really thought it shouldve been Lemonade.
@rodneywaynejackson
@rodneywaynejackson 7 жыл бұрын
John Doe Granted. However she praised Beyoncé already with song of the year, and several of her comments even in live shows are self deprecating and she has admitted adjusting to fame and loss for freedom has been particularly a challenge and @ the Grammy's it is all evident like I stated.
@JohnDoe-ov9ib
@JohnDoe-ov9ib 7 жыл бұрын
Tell me one thing she said that's "self deprecating". It's really not that hard. She thought her idol Beyonce was far more deserving this year and she did the right thing by saying that was how she felt. That's not self deprecating. What she did wasnt about "praising" Beyonce and it's disappointing if you can't see how it goes deeper than that.
@rodneywaynejackson

John Doe "In becoming pregnant and a mother I lost a lot of myself" Beyoncé you and Lemonade are my life" etc...I get the humility, gratitude and humility but the common denominator is Adele herself that she needs to own so many major stars have lost their way not standing in their truth Adele can be the exception not the rule it starts now...if that is not seeing it's totality on my part what truly is...

Sweetheart ADELE HERSELF IS MAD ABOUT IT!! I mean I understand being a fan but good grief! If ADELE HERSELF says Beyonce should have won maybe we should listen to her! Listen to Adele's actual acceptance speech, she tells you exactly why Beyonce should have won this award. Hell she tells you in this speech but people just refuse to listen to what Adele is actually saying. Adele made a wonderful album which I adore, Water under the Bridge or a Million Years ago are competing for my favorite song from the album, but the impact of Lemonade is more important than the popularity of 25.

@MondezDurden
@MondezDurden 7 жыл бұрын
Prince never won an Album of the year but he is a legend and ICON. Beyonce will be too. I personally don't think Beyonce cares at this point if she wins one because I think she is happy and when a person is happy she wants for little else. She is wise enough to rate her value based on the love she gets in her personal life with her family and friends, from the love her fans bless her with and from a deep satisfaction of having a career she loves and completes her. I think we get caught up in these things, not people who know what's important. She already won: look at her life. She already has everything she needs, including the support of millions and the outrage of others who love her enough to even care that she gets recognized for her work. That has to be like salve made of love she can put on any wound of the heart or disappointment. She has her bee hive. That's her prize. Adele was amazingly gracious and shared the love as only a woman can show another. It was a beautiful moment of sisterhood. I actually think Adele's gesture after the year we all have had was likely more touching to Beyonce than any award could have been. Who cares if she wins a statue and the recognition of a bunch of rich academy members? That would matter in 1985. She already has the hearts, admiration and engagement of millions and a singularly iconic name that will shine in history (at least the next half century or so as we as a species have a short institutional memory) as one of the world most iconic performers there was. I think that's enough. ((HUGS))

Naomi the grammy's is about music, and music only. and adele's 25 is a great example of good contemporary songwriting. lemonade is stunningly beaufitul in it's visuals and has a strong and important message, but doesn't meet the requirements to be considered the *musical* record of the year. beyonce deserves very much recognition for lemonade, but the grammy's isn't the place to honour this, simply because they don't have an award for this kind of record (yet).

Adele is absolutely incredible. Her personality, her voice, her presence is one of a kind. She 100%, without a doubt earned every award she won. 25 is such a beautiful, moving album. As much as I admire and love and respect Beyoncé, Adele is the one who I'm thrilled won.

I love her a lot but I love Beyoncé even more and I would love to know lemonade have won that award but it is what it is Beyoncé is still our Queen What I really like is how Adele is not taking any shit from anyone! She is grateful and appreciative for her supporters but she knows what she's worth and she's not gonna play it shy and humble for the sake of pleasing people which I love a lot! She is the realest!!!

Alexander Svedberg how many times are you going to state this? your trolling go on Twitter and debate with the Beyhive. it's all love here.
@l.leila.m

Alexander Svedberg yes but the award is for the best album not the best songwriter Of course they didn't give it to Adele for nothing,she's crazily talented but I still prefer lemonade to 25 because I think its message is powerful and relatable 25 is all about someone's personal experience and feelings Simple as it is

You know what I'm loving? How the Beyhive are reacting. The last time Bey lost (to Beck in 2015) they were outraged and wanting to murder him. I expected if Adele won they would've ferociously lash out at her but surprisingly they're being reasonable. It might've had something to do with the comments Adele made, but it's actually working.

Adele Swagger! I love her accent, manner and bluntness. There is an absolute true regarding the British press. Vicious and Influential. yet the british artist remain loyal to their birth country. No matter how they hated it, they remain british till the end.
