Frank introduced the talent, Back to Black gave us the sound.
@Chimera-zx5uc3 ай бұрын
Frank was an innovative blend of jazz, hip hop drums and brutally *frank* yet also witty lyricism. Back to Black, sonically, is little more than 50s/60s soul/pop/Motown pastiche (ahem, Ronson) with less humour and more misery lyrically. Artistically, B2B was a regression. Also Rehab is her worst song.
@dlsmith3002013 ай бұрын
@@Chimera-zx5uc I have to agree with all you said. I personally didn’t care for Rehab but it was a hit that really made her popular in the US. I, for one, was completely mesmerized with the Frank album when I first heard ‘Moody’s Mood For Love’ around ‘04.

Adele is only 5 years younger than Amy. I like Adele but to me, there is no greater, talented and phenomenal female British singer than Amy. She is the BEST! Amy was a very talented, beautiful and sweet . Outwardly she may look fierce, but she was too fragile emotionally to handle the industry that it destroyed her. She wasn't able to fight back with others so she took it out on herself. RIP Amy. You will never be forgotten.❤❤❤

I didn't either, but I made the choice, that as someone I loved, I couldn't of watched her live and not been heart broken. It would've gone against how I felt, in that the people around her (the business side) were just in it to make money. Her welfare was second to making money from her. I appreciate she was a strong willed independent young woman, but still it was my feelings at the time. I remember seeing those near to her end photos, the ones of her abroad, looking so so much healthier and I was so hopeful she had turned a corner - which I think she had to some extent. Then the bombshell news, we had lost her xx

Thank you Adele for speaking and sharing your feelings on what it means to not listen to the artist's voice in real time to know & experience in your life to listen as you try to sync your soul to their voice, their words, and finally, their melody. Also, I appreciate you speaking of Amy's greatness and only speaking from a Artist's position, since many people that claim they love Amy and are a fan of her work are fake to me, therefore all I ever notice around the time she was alive is people attacking her for being a druggy and judge her for that. Over all, F a whole lot of them and I do wish every person that spit & judge suffer the same fate as she did because she did not need toxicity from shitty pretenders.

Frank was a amazing album and I was such a metal head when that album came out. She really was a hell of a talent and adele has helped her spirit soar to a degree, with her spunk, soul and life and realness. I do not even listen to Adele but if someone put her own, her voice is too good to skip ahead. I wish adele and amy would have had a chance to collaborate. That could have been rad, esp if they did a extra London gal version Nancy's "Boots are Made for Walking". They would have brought their own magic. 😉😢❤

It not only suits her voice very well & will do great! but her & amy both naturally have that jazz tone to their voices . adele just needs to believe in herself cause i can see her doing jazz later on she should test the waters .
