AdeptBerg 2023 Bayonette Fencing Highlights

9 ай бұрынAdeptBerg 2023 featured casual Bayonette fencing competition. At these highlights you will see following actions awarded with points: thrusts to torso and head, buttstrokes to head, pushing out of bounds. Disarm with weapon leverage and pushing enemy to the ground were allowed, but didn't happen. Grabbing enemy weapon was forbidden. Weapons were 2,1 kg weight, synthetic, barrel reinforced with metal for stiffness, all flat for safety of buttstrokes.

Very cool ! Some actions reminded me a bit of halfswording with the longsword, some others reminded me of poleaxe fighting, but overall it's quite a unique style

Yes, it was noticable! Thrust / buttstroke rules and weapon parameters made it unique, but in general it felt like spear fighting :)
