Someone who never gets his due credit: ANDY FUCKIN ROURKE. Marr's compositions would be nowhere near as good without Andy's bass lines. And Morrissey obviously is a fucking genius. His solo work is also brilliant, check out Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself from his masterpiece Vauxhall And I.

Johnny Marr’s phenomenal melodies and lead guitar and Morrissey’s lyrics were a combination made in heaven. So many great tracks

The radio news had just reported the nuclear explosion at Chernobyl, unleashing a radioactive cloud that could spread across the northern hemisphere, when the DJ followed it up with I'm Your Man by Wham! Thus inspiring Morrissey to write those hang the dj lines.

Morrissey is the greatest. It's too hard to pick a favorite Smith's song but this is the song I listened to over and over and over and over.

I could only imagine hearing this for the first time again. Man... this tune has been with me for decades. The only classic band that will never, ever reunite. No one ever thought the Pixies would, and they did, but I suppose there's not much hope for The Smiths. Tragic. They'd sell EVERY venue out in minutes all over the world. I enjoyed watching this, so thank you very much.

Johnny Marr has now found his voice and you can find lots of live versions of Smiths' songs with him singing, which I think rehabilitates The Smiths and he sounds better than The Moz these days.

It's called Alliteration, a repetition of sounds to give it a rhythm or a cadence. In this case the sound of T: "if a Ten Tons Truck kills the both of us..." And is perfectly dropped in the beats.
