adidas Predator 2024 review - in today's video, JayMike reviews the brand new adidas Predator football boots, which reintroduce the tongue. He'll also touch on the two other Predator Elite boots with laces and a short tongue as well as the laceless Predator boot. As someone whos 32 years old and idolised beckham as a kid. Its great to see the tongue return ! Ill wait until they bring an OG colourway out as i cant wear bright orange boots 🤣 would love a blackout colourway !

Same , I ended up picking up some phantom DF elites cause I needed boots right now and I just couldn’t do this color way at all, it’s just not good imo , that debut 30 anniversary one though 😍

4:48 Jaymike you had the GRIPFIEND 👹 in me at "it's a bit like an X with grip" & based off your description of the Predstrike Elite LL being more suited to feet with more volume. It's going to be a perfect fit for me. Also: - black with orange accents & vice versa - black with purple accents - purple with orange accents Are my favourite colorways too!

Adidas is really improving their line-up. First Copa 2+, then this. Also how often do they actually offer a whole new boot without recycling some old soleplate or whatever. Big thumps up for Adi !

15 years ago, people used to cut off the foldover tounge on their predators. It is only nice to look at but not very practical especially after the band snapped or loosed.

The plus would’ve been nice if it had a channel in the rubber elements for the elastic that holds down the tongue, but it kinda just gets in the way of the rubber

that runners loop trick with the laces is under-rated. I have been doing that for years and it helps lock-down a lot!!

The fold over tongue on the + folds too far down the foot and the elastic strap covers over some of the rubber elements so there isn’t full contact with the ball.

Hope that it comes with a solid AG soleplate. The last few have been a bit underwhelming.

This boot remake seems similar in design to the Mizuno Alpha Elite because of the triangle studs and the snug fit produced by the liner. I'm glad I recently got a new pair of the Alpha in Prism gold and white from Japan. triangle stud takeover?

Though I am 14 (very young), I personally think this colour way is pretty nice when you give it a chance, but the other black and red colour way is a bit better imo. God bless.

I’ve generally had a preference for F50’s and the X series, the speedflows are still my game boots. But I had predators as a kid and these do look awesome. I’m very picky about responsiveness, would these be worth it or should I wait for the 2024 F50’s (which from leaks just look like speedflows)?

Speedflows are the best boot made in the last decade, so its fair to assume that these will not match that level. They were so good, they sold out everywhere when Adidas announced they were going to replace them with the speedportal. Both the laceless and laced speed flows are amazing

Yeah, when they replaced them I jumped on the sales and bought a second pair. And found a third more recently. My original ones tore. They definitely are the best boots I’ve ever worn, or close to given I had 2014 F50 adizero’s.

To follow up on this, apparently it's not new, contrary to what I was told: it'll be the standard AG plate we've known from adidas for years. Disappointing. /Jay

@@unisport Jay, I’ve just seen that Adidas have released 2 types of AG plates, one for 2G/3G pitches & another for newer 4G pitches. Very interesting development in my opinion & personally I really like the idea behind this as more options is always a good thing!

Yep, the 2G/3G plate was a surprise for me, to be honest. I'll be getting it soon and go over it in my rundown of all the different price points on the Pred. I'm not overly excited if I'm honest though - plus, I hear it's HEAVY. But let's see. /Jay

Really sad to hear about the slimed down fit :/ Predator Accuracy was one of a very few boots that fit my very wide foot. Wondering if this will work for me. Also why not launch the new boot with a classic black color with red & white or a Beckham style white base with red & black accents?

I can't tell if your color grading on the video is off or changed to look more orange...Adidas said these are "solar red" and they really look red in pictures but here they definitely look orange. I mean, doesn't matter, I still copped a pair.

They’re tough to label tbh. Solar red is this bright, almost orange-y red that’s somewhere in between. Super hard for the camera to replicate that very lively colour that you get IRL.
