The skate version is durable af for kickflips and heels, it gets an ollie hole quick but the tread stays forever

These shoes actually lasted me 4 months, which was really suprising. I think they are really stylish and the flick is amazing. You can kick and spin your tricks however you want.

For me a beginner, I love these. They are super comfy and have survived everything I have tried on them

Size is important. You forget when you anchor your laces down, the tension on them makes them easier to rip. Going a half size down may have a more snug fit and have a longer life from the sidewalls blowing out because your foots actually helping keep the shoe snug on your foot, compared to shoes that "fit" or are "true to size" needing to be anchored down...

Just got a pair of these (the skate Superstar ADVs) on sale for $55 CAD. It was the last pair in stock and half a size smaller than I usually wear, but felt fine, so I decided to try them out. I'm completely stoked I did! Flick is great, lots of impact protection for small gaps and 5 sets. These and the Janoskis are the only ones I'd size down 1/2 a size. 👍

I mean the biggest thing is, that these were never made with skating in mind much like the Nike Blazer which was a basketball shoe these were originally tennis shoes if I recall correctly so they wouldn't have thought to hide the laces the way other more modern skate shoe might. I personally like the arch support of the insole but agree they are really stiff and not overly comfy or cushiony though

its because you got the regular ones, the superstar vulc adv has a massive insole with great impact. maybe try the superstar vulc adv next you might like em better

i have this shoe and it skated great and lasted for ever with great flick not a single hole with over 6 weeks of hard skating no hole amazing shoe

Had these before Addiads skateboarding blew up , when I was in high school but brown and all leather toe cap super skates , I made them look real good they skated ok too good for ledges and flat ground

Been skating the regular set of superstars and they have lasted me 7 months still skating them now. Half the shoe is covered in duck tape and shoe goo though. Definitely favourite skate shoe.

Toss your choice of FP insole in there and they’re comfy. If you don’t care about how your skate shoes look (you shouldn’t, they’re going to get destroyed) make a suede patch over your flick spot and shoe goo over it a few times.

I prefer the superstar adv vulc even with the adiprene insole and becouse they run half size bigger i can put a slim insole so my sock isn’t moving

éS Accel OG (suede, not leather) ...but yeah, change the insoles cuz the ones in them initially are pretty bad. I personally like putting their STI Energy Foam insoles in 👌

The only problem I have with these is that the sole is poking against my feet, making them really uncomfortable, bow mine are a half size down but I went to a sneaker store and tried one my size and it still would

Five years ago, I bought a pair of Superstars which had "Skateboarding" written on the tongue. They had a really squishy midsole! They weren't the Bounce ones though. Actually the insole and midsole was one piece of rubber which could be removed and it was about 3/4 of an inch thick under the heel and 1/4 inch under the toe. All the new Superstars (at least in my city) have a really hard midsole! No padding at all! And those new recycled plastic insoles have no cushioning either! Even the outsole on the new ones seem worse.
