In this video I will show you how to install an auxiliary audio cable in Peugeot 407 radio model RD4. It works in other Peugeot or Citroen (Citroen C5) models that using Radio RD4 model.

Hi there Adrian, thanks for your videos. I have problem with my 407. I pluggedin DIAGBOX but it DOES NOT read the radio calculator. Any idea why is it so ?? I already bought aux but there is no way to activate it. Can it be DIAGBOX too old?

Hi. There were other users who failed to activate aux in, I do not know where the problem would be. If you can try another Diagbox interface (maybe from friends).

Hello. If it is the same as in the Peugeot 307, 308, you will have to pull that grill with the tweeter up. But I don't know if it's the same.

If anybody needs: i gave the car to Another mechanic and it Turned out the aux was already on. The socket hidden in front of passanger(cinch) was in fact the cinch-aux socket. I was opening the radio and buying cable for nothing because I refused at first to check if what I already have is working :D poor me. Anyway the socket is good, the audio quality is good. Cheers!

I bought the kit from aliexpress you recommended (the largest kit) I can do everything in the video up to 5:03, but it says that it failed to execute the configuration. Same with engine on. Any ideas?

Hi. You can try with another Diagbox version. It can also happen that this option is blocked from the factory and you cannot activate it.

Salut, Firul rosu se leaga la + pe firul ce alimenteaza radioul cand este pus contactul. Firul negru se leaga la firul de masa (-) sau direct pe carcasa radioului.

Hi Adrian, I put this on my C5, but when start my diagbox, it did not read all the stuff. The radio or radiotelephone shows "Not Present'. Do you have any idea?

Hello. Check that the plugs are properly connected. If you don't solve it, I have no idea where the problem would be, possibly try with another Diagbox?

Da, am incercat pe un C5 R pe locu de la handsfree bluetooth GSM (port B). Din păcate sunetul e cam slab, o sa incerc să codez cu diagbox portul 1 (A) ce e dedicat CD Exchangerului...

True, the bluetooth module needs 12v power, this can be done right from the radio power wires. I'm waiting to receive the bluetoith module and then I will make a tutorial on how to install it.

Do not connect directly to radio due to Com system this is a bad idea. Remove radio then the 12v power (cigarette lighter) test the voltage of the cables going into the back of the port (connect voltage meter positive cable to whichever cable you are testing and negative to bodywork for ground). In my case: purple 12V+ with ignition on - connect red cable of Bluetooth unit Green and lime: 0V key off or on, this is the 12v- ground - connect black cable of Bluetooth unit There was also a slim brown cable with 2v supply, probably a small led. - ignore this I used scotch cable locks. I have power and Bluetooth connection successful only with ignition to avoid battery drain

Salut. Nu cred ca radioul are iesiri auxiliare pentru subwoofer, dar poti monta atenuatoare de semnal pe firele de la difuzoarele fata si asa vei duce semnal audio in amplificator.

Did exactly that, on RD4 in my Citroen C5. However, it did not work. Well, there is a sound when i turn volume on max, but it is barely hearable, like a whisper. Definitely not how it supposed to be. Any ideas? :)

If there´s still the issue with the low aux sound you should have a closer look at the pin layout of the aux in connector. There are different layouts for aux1 and aux2 (Part B). www.andre-citroen-club.de/uploads/monthly_2020_11/Pinout.jpg.94de9f78529a069ffa46fc5aa9f0acda.jpg I had the same weird issue like you. The layout of my connector was totally wrong. After a change of the connections everything works fine. A multimeter might be helpfull here.

Salutare. Calitatea audio este foarte buna insa volumul este o idee mai mic decat pe CD, oricum pe CD la volum maxim distorsioneaza. Din punctul meu de vedere acest modul bluetooth merita banii.

Salut. Din pacate nu poti activa nicio functie folosind acel adaptor OBD. @@AdrianDragan Adrian spune te rog daca la automobilul meu un pej. 407 2.0 2006 care din fabrica are un autoradio Blaupunkt Rd4 n2 care citeste doar CD pot sal scot si sa montez altul mai nou care citeste Mp3 si etc. Intrebarea este daca o sa mearga sau nu ,adica nu o sa se blocheze?

Salut. Poti sa inlocuiesti radioul tau actual dar daca pui un radio provenit de pe o alta masina va trebui facuta o codare cu Diagbox pentru ca altfel noul radio va emite un bip intermitent, asa cum vezi aici: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jNeDaZyYztfTeo0.html
