Man, I wish I'd found you a couple of years ago! '05 WK, 5.7, QDII, bought used. It had somebody's 2" spacers all around. I Changed shocks (front and rear) right after I got it to 5100's and used top setting for a 2" lift in front. Major improvement in ride and control. Stock springs were pretty soft so after a couple years I got OME HD springs. The shop I was using (I'm ok for oil changes and spark plugs but not enough of a mech to do IFS stuff, and no garage...) really pulled me around and left shocks on top setting! Made my WK look like a Giraffe! They had to disassemble the front all over again and drop the front shock setting. The OME springs (front and rear) are really stiff on the highway, but they really controlled things off road. Seeing your videos ahead of all this would have saved me a bunch of labor costs and time. Any suggestions y'all have would be welcomed. Thanks for such a well done video.

The more you preload the stiffer the ride. I got the hd spring on my 3.7 wk, but it was manufacture in April of 08. So they just used what they had left for that year

Great video and thank you brother! I have a WK with a 5.7 hemi and have 5100s all around on stock springs with front 5100’s set at setting 3 for 2” preload and rears have a 2” spring spacer on stock springs. Im adding a 40lb winch plate and a 75lb winch up front. The front stock springs started sagging already 0.5” this is without the winch plate and winch installed yet.. Getting OME springs, but I dont want to go over 2.75”-3” max total lift total from stock after every thing is installed and settles with 5100 set to the first setting for 0.75”. Should I get the Medium Durty or Heavy Duty OME springs for the front to not go over 2.75-3” total lift from stock after I add winch and winch plate? Btw, Im running the factory plastic Stock front bumper. Thanks

We ran the HD. They ride a little stiff but after 2 yrs they did start sagging. I had a little more weight than you. Some run Md. Depends how much off roading you do. If you do quite a bit I would go with HD. We we're pretty hard on ours. We actually went through 2 sets of 5100 in the front.

Thanks for the video! My son just purchased an ‘06 WK with a 3.7. This is his goal...and it’s strictly for looks...not off roading. He wants 265/70/17’s with spacers. And he wants the vehicle to sit level. Regardless, the WK needs new shocks all the way around, they’re still the originals. What is his easiest and cheapest option to achieve his goal?

Need to get rid of spacers. They are terrible on front components. A 2" spacer provides double lift on front. Best options are Old man emu all way around. This will give you shocks and springs. About 2.5" lift. It will still have rake. You can add a 1/2 spacer on front to take care of rake. Other option is Bilstein 5100 on front with old man Emu and set on first notch. This will be putting you up into 3"+ range then JBA UCA and JJ off road diff are recommend. These platforms are not cheap to lift and do correct. Stock height is 18.5" hub center to fender. So anything at 21.5" and above needs JBA UCA and diff drop. To go over 23" right now is hard since Superlift stopped selling components. See our other videos for info. Hello! I just bought a WK 2010 4.7, it is totally original, I bought the bilstein 5100 shock absorbers and I am going to install them with the original springs, my question is how much do you recommend me to lift it so that it does not start to harm the other parts and if I have to lift more on the front side than the rear or the same level on

I have OME 2'' kit, MD front, HD rear in a 5.7 HEMI WK 2005, installed some years ago. I think I have a but shock front. I plan change front shocks (struts). What if I get 5100 in the lowest setting? I would like to keep the same height or minimum difference. Some told me better 4600, but I'm afraid the travel is not for 2'' springs.

I would stay with the 5100 on .750 setting if you want the same height. If you go to 4600 it will probably be close to 1" shorter. They will work fine but will be shorter. The 5100 preload your spring the .750 to take the rake out.

Rake is the front being lower from factory than rear.

Would these coils work for 3" lift ?Old Man Emu OME 2997 HD Front Springs 2” at the lowest setting on these shocks? I understand that the lowest setting is at .750 and the coil is at 2" witch means it should set it at 2 3/4. Is the coil not a true 2"?

Excellent video. Finally i get why people buy the 5100`s. I saw a picture of a RAM 1500 4" lift spindle and couldn´t help thinking that they look very much like the WK spindle. Have you ever looked into that? If they are the same, there is an alternative for the Superlift.. Thank you very much for your videos!!!

Question: is it better to do a lift with new matched springs and shocks (OME for both let's say) or using the 5100s to lift the front with the adjustable circlip and new springs? I have the 5100s on my stock WK on the lowest setting just to level it and for it to ride better.

It depends on how much lift you want. If you put OME springs on with your 5100 lowest setting you will be around 3.5" lift. Depending on MD or HD and engine in your Jeep. But that is a close estimate. If you run stock springs and use the top clip. You will be around 2" will ride softer than OME with or without 5100. So yo answer your question it depends on if you want to go over 2" lift if so put OME springs on with 5100. If not you can get 2" of lift with 5100 on stock springs.b

@@jjoffroad9793 thanks for the quick reply! PS at what level of lift do you have to replace the stock upper control arms? Mine is a 2007 WK Hemi with after market skids no other mods other than the 5100s. Just wanting to get some information for the future.

At 3" is recommended. Which is 21.5" hub center to fender.

Man i got a 2010 gmc sierra 1500 4x4 5.3 on a leveling kit from rough country 3.5 lift i guess and the dam rear shocks suck. i wanna replace them and the front stock struts but dont know what to buy. I want Bilstein but unsure which ones to get. I know i can get stock Bilstien for the front but the rear has me confused. Any help..

We don't work much with GMC. Call Bilstein. They will help you. I am sure they have a rear shock for your setup.

You need a strut compressor. Remove spring. Change clip on shock and put spring back on.

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you very much! After all this info I just had a question. If I decided to go with the OME HD Springs and the bilstein 5100s all the way around would you recommend doing the diff drop? Or should I not even worry about doing that if all I have is a 3 inch lift.

Yes.you will be at or above 3" in front.

@@Johnhutchi7 factory will work. Lots of people run them. Some have issues with the CV joint going out once they put it in. So we recommend in the instructions to change it. There is no real evidence that the diff drop causes the issues. Super Lift has a drop in there kit and they retain same driveshaft.
