Hey Ben, Thank you for making this video finally..nobody on the internet has talked about this. Stock lever are just pathetic..It took me 20k kms to figure out that the Himalayan levers are pathetic and not the braking. Because of these adjustable levers the braking on stock brake pads is on a whole another level.

I got a pair from Hitchcock’s UK and they are a straight swap - only caveat is that they are significantly more expensive but these ones look like they will hold up too. Cheers

On my Himalayan i can pull the level all the way to the grip and the brake power is not great. This is even after i have had the system fluid replaced and bled at the dealership. I assume they did the job properly! Any suggestions?

Are these Made in China levers? Whats the quality like compared to the ones available for 6-7k? Curious!
@regorohan6 ай бұрын
I just fitted the same levers today, brake lever was a perfect fit, but clutch lever need a lot of filing, the lever was too thick (by 1mm) and would not fit inside the assembly, had to shave off the surface. guess its a lottery if you get both perfect fit out of the box.

I see your levers are positioned downwards at a 45deg angle . this is the perfect position for an adventure motorcycle. almost everyone I've seen keep the levers dead straight to the handlebar, thus restricting you from using controls while standing .

@avid_biker3 ай бұрын
One should adjust the position and angle of their handlebars and control levers to their own custom setting. Your reach/body is different than mine. When you are standing up and riding I prefer the levers in a downward aggressive position rather than straight. It depends on how you ride...relaxed or aggressive body position.

usually there is an issue with clutch switch when u install this kind of a lever, vehicle doesn't start when put in gear. is there any kind of issue u r facing these levers? I totally agree with the convenience and the way these levers provide in other bikes of mine.

Hello sir, I would say this might be quick feedback and responsive but in case of a fall the lever will break completely, I have had 2 falls on my Himalayan during off roads and at both times the clutch lever broke from the groove that is there on OG lever which helped me to get my bike home and not abandon or put my bike in pickup truck..just my experience Great information and modifications though✌🏽✌🏽
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN6 ай бұрын
Yes I agree. The hand guards are meant for lever protection more than anything else in case of a fall. Missed that point .
@avid_biker3 ай бұрын
Whole point of DIY is to "do it yourself"! If you post a step-by-step video of what you actually did to modify then people will be able to follow it to the tee, if in fact yours is a DIY and not a neighborhood mechanic.
